I am a former vet tech of 5 years (2 of those in emergency medicine) and a pet owner for my entire life. I’m skilled at giving medicine, handling animals, and making sure they feel 100% loved all the time. I have experience of pet sitting puppies &kittens through to seniors. Any animal I meet is treated with my utmost respect and love.

She was great with my dogs. One of them needed pain medication last minute, and she was very attentive and concerned. It was clear she truly cared and treated them like her own.
Laura is responsible, quick to respond and communicate, and treats our animals like her own. Our dogs absolutely love to see her - she’s on the very short list of their favorite people. Her background in veterinary medicine is an added bonus that makes us feel totally at ease having her watch our dogs and our cat. We can’t recommend her enough!
Laura has watched my cat for multiple long weekends. Always spends plenty of time with her and will play with all her toys. She also sends me picture updates at least daily, usually a lot more. Highly recommend her services.
Laura frequently babysits our cats and dogs when we take weekend trips. She is required to give medication and has never had an issue with it. The pets love her, and we never have to worry while we are away.

Schedule
I work 8a-4p Mon-Fri in Raleigh, so my pet-sitting hours will have to revolve around those hours. I am also getting my masters so I am unavailable Thursday nights. I have back issues and cannot stay over night but I am happy to stop by late and get up early.

Safety, trust & environment
In a client’s home, I want to be respectful of all of their belongings so I try to limit the appearance of my presence. However, I do want the pets to keep as much of their normal routine as possible. Whether that is taking them on a walk, have play time at a certain hour, or need medication at a certain time.

A typical day
During walks, I want the dog/dogs to sniff new areas as much as they want. If there is a certain route that the dogs and owners prefer then I will keep them on that route. I love to play with cats and their toys (on their terms of course!)
