Information Laura K. would like to know about your pet
Let us know if your dog needs medication-- We're very comfortable with administering that if needed. We would also like to accommodate your dog's sleeping preferences, so if that's a dog bed, a crate, whatever it may be, let us know. Also, make sure you tell us if there are any food allergies or anything specific we need to look out for. One more thing: Some people do not allow dogs on furniture, so while we do allow dogs on our couch, we will respect your wishes if that's not acceptable in your own home. We certainly do not want to instill habits in your dog that you don't think are good for your home. So just let us know!
A typical day
We have a nice neighborhood route where we can walk your dogs regularly. We live in NW Salem and love taking dogs to the park down the street or just out and about for a nice walk around the area. We'll throw the ball or frisbee if they like that. We only book one family’s dog or dogs at a time, so they’ll be getting our full love and attention while they’re here! They also will be inside with us for cuddle time, naps, belly rubs, etc.

Pet care experience
We grew up with dogs and no home is complete without at least one dog! We have experience owning and caring for high-maintenance puppies, mature arthritic dogs, tiny Yorkies, large Labs that shed constantly, and lots of dogs in between. We believe that dogs are social animals and that feeling like they are part of the family is essential to their happiness. In our house, we treat them like family (only better, LOL!) and keep them inside with us (except when they want to go out and play, walk, or potty, of course). We're a relaxed, flexible family and dogs make it all complete! Our home is clean and calm, and we only accept one family's dog(s) at a time which means your dogs get all of our attention! We enjoy interacting will all different breeds and personalities, and we can't wait to meet your sweet ones, too. This past summer, we had to put down our wonderful black lab, Riley, after 13 1/2 years of joy with her... But we recently adopted a chocolate lab puppy named Lucy (and she’s doing GREAT with the doggie guests we’ve hosted through Rover).

I fell ill and could not take our trip. Laura was kind and helpful answering all of our questions. We look forward to meeting her next year.
Laura was wonderful with our two dogs during their daycare stay while we had family over. Both of our dogs are high-energy and very vocal, so I always worry they might be a bit too much for people, but Laura was so calm, patient, and welcoming from the start. Her dog Lucy was also such a gracious host and the perfect match for our high-energy Lab, while also doing great with our 8-year-old Labradoodle. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. Thank you so much, Laura!
We are so happy to have Laura take care of our dog Sparky on a regular basis. He loves playing with her sweet dog, Lucy, and they go for at least one walk a day, and more if the weather holds. Laura communicates well and Sparky loves her. It feels like She and Lucy are part of the family.
