Wat maakt mij zo bijzonder? Ik heb meer dan 30 jaar ervaring in de dierenverzorging, met name honden, maar ook katten. Onze levensstijl leent zich uitstekend voor de zorg voor honden. Mijn man en ik werken allebei vanuit huis en we maken overdag vaak samen wandelingen. Uw huisdier zal dus vrijwel altijd bij iemand. We hebben een kleine, omheinde tuin en veel ruimte. We nemen bovendien maar één huishouden met huisdieren tegelijk in huis (uw hond zal dus niet samen met een andere hond worden opgevangen die hij niet kent, maar als u twee of drie dieren heeft, staan we er wel voor open om ze samen op te vangen). We maken soms uitzonderingen als het hondenras bekendstaat om zijn goede compatibiliteit met andere honden, maar we overleggen altijd eerst met beide eigenaren. We zouden zelf graag een dier hebben, maar helaas reizen we te vaak om dat te kunnen doen. Daarom zorgen we voor de dieren van anderen en geven we ze dezelfde liefde als onze eigen dieren. Ik vind het erg leuk om alle verschillende rassen en karakters te leren kennen. Ik spreek Engels, Nederlands, Frans en Spaans. Engels is mijn eerste taal. What makes me special? I bring over 30 years of experience taking care of animals-- especially dogs, but also cats. Our lifestyle is very well suited for taking care of dogs. My husband and I both work from home, and we go on many walks during the day together. Your pet will therefore very likely always be with a person. We have a small fenced garden and plenty of space. We also only take on one household of pets at a time (ie. your dog is not going to be watched with another dog they don't know, but if you have two or three animals, we are open to taking them together). We do sometimes make exceptions if the dog breeds are known for getting along well with other dogs, but we always check with both owners first. We would love to have a dog ourselves, but alas-- we travel to often for that to be responsible of us. Therefore, we take care of other people's animals, and we pour the same love into them that we would our own. I really enjoy getting to know all the different breeds and personalities. English, Dutch, French, and Spanish. English is my first language.

Laura is amazing! She had my dogs all day whilst me and my family were at the theme park and I recieved lots of updates, video and images. I couldn't have been happier, my dogs were clearly well looked after, thank you Laura :)
Wat heeft onze Sammie geluk gehad dat ie bij Laura mocht blijven logeren! We kregen nagenoeg elke dag een fotootje en daarop was te zien dat ie zich helemaal op z’n gemak voelde.. super lieve mensen die écht enorm goed voor onze “baby” hebben gezorgd!
Laura en haar man waren fantastisch als oppas. Super lief, ik kreeg de grappigste foto’s en filmpjes van hoe ze met onze hond speelden. Ik vond het best spannend maar ik ben super gerustgesteld en je kunt hier met een gerust hart je viervoeter achterlaten.
Laura is a kind and loving pet sitter. My pups are always excited to see her. They behave better on walks with her than we me! She's trustworthy. Laura has stayed in my house while I was on a trip to watch my three dogs, and sent me daily updates, which makes me happy and reduces my stress. I highly recommend Laura as a petsitter.
Within the past five years, I have asked Ezra to caretake for our medium-sized Labrador and our large Husky on average one time per year, for periods of time that have lasted for between two days and ten days. Each time we have returned from our travel, the dogs have been happy and while glad to see us, also just very happy dogs. She pays good attention to their needs, praises them, takes them for appropriately long walks (our Husky needs a lot of exercise), and plays with them with genuine delight. What is amazing to me is that when I speak with Ezra over speaker-phone, the dogs hear her voice and come to see where she is! They love her and we cannot praise her good work with Abby and Echo enough.
I have five dogs, two of whom have special needs, and finding the right caregiver is incredibly important to me. Ezra not only shows the patience required to care for their individual challenges, but also the compassion to truly understand them. Each of my dogs has very specific and different needs. Ezra follows my directions carefully and consistently, and she isn’t afraid to ask thoughtful clarifying questions to make sure she gets everything right. She also genuinely enjoys being outdoors, hiking or walking, so any dog that needs or loves extra exercise or activity will get plenty. On top of that, she is conscientious about keeping my home tidy and exactly the way I expect it when I return. I highly recommend her.

Schedule
Ik werk fulltime vanuit huis. Ik ben kunstenaar en schrijver en heb regelmatig pauzes nodig. Ik maak dagelijks wandelingen in het bos of in het kleine bosje vlakbij ons huis. We hebben ook een achtertuin waar de honden kunnen rondrennen. I work full time from home. I am an artist and a writer, and I need to take frequent breaks. I take daily walks in the forest, or in the grove near our house. We have a back garden to also let dogs out into.

Ik houd de honden in de gaten als ze in de tuin zijn of als ik in huis ben. De ruimte is groot genoeg, maar niet zo groot dat ik geen overzicht heb. Je hond krijgt de hele dag door veel knuffels, wandelingen, snoepjes, water en aandacht. I keep an eye on the dogs when they are in the garden, or with me in the house. It’s a big enough space, but not so big that I can’t have an overview. Your dog will get lots of pats, walks, treats, water, and attention throughout the day.
A typical day
Ik werk vanuit huis en ben een fervent wandelaar. Doordeweeks beginnen we de dag met een wandelingetje door de straat. Daarna blijven we thuis, waar mijn gasten meestal vlak naast me zitten terwijl ik werk. Soms hebben we heel energieke gasten die ons aanmoedigen om nog meer te wandelen en te spelen – geweldig voor mij! Ze houden me fit. In de warmere maanden werk ik meestal met de deur naar de tuin open, zodat je hond naar buiten kan lopen om te plassen wanneer hij wil. We sluiten de dag af met nog een wandeling, soms naar het bos. Meestal maken we in het weekend langere wandelingen, soms naar het nabijgelegen hondenpark als je hond goed met andere honden overweg kan. We eindigen de dag meestal met veel knuffels en zorgen ervoor dat ze zich comfortabel voelen tijdens het slapen. I work from home, and am an avid walker. During the work week, we'll start the day with a walk down the road. Then we'll stay home, where my guests usually sit right next to me while I work. Sometimes we get very energetic guests who encourage more walks and play time-- great for me! They keep me fit. In the warmer months, I usually work with the door to the garden open, so your dog can wander out to pee whenever he likes. We finish the day with another walk, sometimes to the forest. Typically we'll go on longer walks over the weekend, sometimes to the nearby dog park if your dog gets along well with others. We usually end the day with lots of cuddles, and then make sure they feel comfortable while they sleep.
