Camp Pawsome! Pups dream retreat!

All dogs melt my heart ❤️ “The world would be a nicer place if everyone had the ability to love as unconditionally as a dog.” — M.K. Clinton Hi, my name is Laura, and caring for dogs is truly my dream job—a passion that never feels like work. Over the past 25 years, I’ve had the joy of owning six beloved fur babies and caring for many more amazing pups. One of the most rewarding experiences of my life was fostering through the New Jersey Boxer Rescue. Helping those sweet pups learn to trust, feel safe, and eventually find their forever homes was something I’ll always cherish. Today, I have two rescue dogs of my own, along with two school-aged boys who are just as eager as I am to welcome and love your dog like family. I offer overnight boarding in a warm, home-like environment, with a limit of four families and no more than eight dogs total (including my own), so every pup gets the attention, care, and comfort they deserve.

Laura took wonderful care once again of our boy Orso! We truly appreciated all the updates, pictures and video she sent to ease our days away from him. When he was having some digestive issues, she asked if she could add pumpkin to his food which he thoroughly enjoyed. We will continue to be repeat clients and highly recommend Laura.

Laura and her family were so fantastic! Lani loved their backyard and a chance to play with Rusty. Laura took such wonderful care of her and sent us daily updates. We’re super grateful for her kindness and clear love for dogs!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: • Meet & Greet Required: All new bookings require a meet and greet, which must take place at my home on a weekend when my husband is available. • Drop-Off & Pick-Up Hours: All drop-offs and pick-ups must occur between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM, with a one-hour window unless otherwise arranged. • Spay/Neuter Policy: All dogs over 10 months must be spayed or neutered — no exceptions. • Rates & Behavior Policy: Rates may vary based on your pet’s specific needs and training. Additional charges may apply for dogs that are not fully house-trained or have difficulty respecting boundaries. • Damage Policy: Any significant damage caused by your pet will require reimbursement. ⸻ A Little About Me: I’m currently a stay-at-home soccer mom with a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the dogs in my care. While my children and home are also part of my daily responsibilities, your pup will never be left alone for more than 2 hours at a time. I treat every dog like part of the family and strive to create a calm, safe, and loving environment.

Safety, trust & environment

Your Dog’s Safety & Comfort Come First My top priority is your dog’s safety and well-being. Dogs are always monitored when together and are never left alone in the yard. Each pup (or family of pups) will have their own private space for feeding, sleeping, and quiet time—especially if I need to step away briefly. To create a calm environment, I play soothing music when the dogs are resting or left alone. All rooms are under surveillance, which I monitor from both a kitchen screen and my phone, ensuring peace of mind at all times. I’m prepared to handle a wide range of situations and can easily adapt to your dog’s specific needs. ⸻ A Stay That Feels Like a Vacation Your dog will feel like they’re on a mini-vacation while in my care. They’ll enjoy: • A private, fenced-in yard to play and explore • A peaceful Koi pond under a Japanese Maple, perfect for lounging or quiet observation • Access to our swimming pool (yes, dogs are welcome to swim!) • Smaller baby pools for pups who prefer a gentler splash • Games like fetch, chase, and tug-of-war in the yard • Rainy day fun with indoor games like bubbles, laser chase, treat mazes, and more! When it’s time to rest, your dog can curl up on a fluffy pillow, cozy couch, or play with a variety of toys available throughout the house. If you prefer your dog to be crated, or if they feel most secure that way, I can absolutely accommodate that. ⸻ Location & Environment We live on a quiet cul-de-sac, just a block away from beautiful hiking trails—perfect for daily walks and outdoor adventures. With plenty of physical and mental stimulation, your dog will be engaged, relaxed, and feel truly at home—not like they’ve been left behind, but like they’re part of a new pack.

Pets

A typical day

I start attending to my furry visitors first thing in the morning—around 6 AM—and again before bed, between 10–11 PM, with plenty of yard time throughout the day. We go on daily walks, usually over a mile, exploring new smells around the neighborhood and nearby trails. Your pup will enjoy lots of playtime, both indoors and outside, with games and activities designed to keep them happy, engaged, and exercised.

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs or behavioral concerns that I should be aware of so I can provide the best possible care. Honesty is key—it helps me ensure the safety and comfort of your pet, other dogs in my care, as well as my family and any human visitors. It’s very rare that I turn away a dog, but being fully informed allows me to create the right environment for everyone involved.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
