All the kitties, all the time.
I’ve had cats nearly all of my life. Admittedly, as a youngster, I didn’t hold much of the responsibility of care (thanks mom!) but once I moved out and got a cat of my own, that all changed. And that’s when I REALLY learned the joy (and rewards) of caring for a pet. In my mid-twenties I completed a veterinary assistant program in college and then worked at a cats-only clinic for three years. I leaned to administer many medications and also what signs to look for in an unwell cat. Since then, my love of cats has only expanded. Unfortunately, about 3 years ago, my beloved companion of 13 years, Red, died of cancer. Since then, I have not been able to bring myself to get another kitty of my own, but I have had many great cat sitting experiences with cats of friends and family. I’d love to include you and your kitty (or kitties) in that experience!

I've lost count on the number of times we have left Rico and Stella at "Camp Laura" while we went on vacation. When I drop them off, they remember her and her home, check out what's changed since last they were there, and immediately demand cuddles. They're behaviour tells me they like her. I appreciate the photos, video, and updates, checking up on what's normal for our fur babies. Yes, Stella can be an aloof kitty... until she demands attention, snuggles on her terms, and leaves. Rico is the cuddle monster.
Laura is a fantastic sitter. A new environment for pets can be scary, but she was so tentative and patient with my cats' shenanigans. She also provided me updates and photos which helped put me at ease during my first time being away from them for so long! My boys and I would highly recommend 🙂
Laura did a great job of taking care of our two senior cats who have a number of medical conditions and require a variety of medication. She was very accommodating when our schedule changed and we needed to change the pick-up time. It is clear she really cares for cats and makes them feel at home. Would definitely book with her again.
Laura was great with our three cats! They can be quite a handful, especially around new people and environments, but she handled them well and they warmed up quickly! One of our cats required medication too, and she was able to administer his various meds, which was a huge bonus. We received photo and video updates throughout the booking, which we really appreciated too. All in all, the cats warmed up quickly and seemed to have a good time on their little vacay away from home. We can't thank Laura enough!

Schedule
I work mostly out of my home, but not full time so there is ample time each day for me to spend caring for and paying attention to kitty.
Where your pet will stay

Safety, trust & environment
Litter boxes will be scooped daily, and cleaned when extra soiled. Food bowls will be clean with each meal, and water will be fresh daily. There are windows for kitty to watch the outside world and get sun. There are 2 couches for afternoon naps. Play and or cuddle time will happen daily, at kitty’s discretion. I have a roommate who enjoys kitty visits and will interact with kitty as well, but I will be the primary care taker. Kitties from different homes will not be in my care at the same time, unless that is pre-arranged with both “owners”. IE The cats are already pre-acquainted and have comfortably spent time together previously.
A typical day
I have a few toys that I can bring out to help keep your kitty entertained. A fan favourite seems to be the 3-tiered ball track toy. Kitties love batting at those patterned balls and watching them spin around! And of course... cat nip!
