Schedule: I work part time as an evening vet nursing assistant at an emergency veterinary clinic on a one-week-on, one-week-off basis. During my week off, I provide doggy day care and boarding, which is already scheduled in my diary. My partner, who is a qualified veterinarian, works during the day at a veterinary clinic from Monday to Friday. We are open to caring for pets with medical needs, such as diabetes.

Safety, trust & environment
Your furry friend will be treated with the same care and attention as our own pets. They will have free range of the house, including the bed, sofa, and garden. Our 4-bedroom home is just a 4-minute drive from the Cotswolds, providing plenty of opportunities for scenic walks. For less mobile dogs, there is a playing field a 9-minute walk (2-minute drive) from our house. We generally keep dogs on a leash for safety, however, we can accommodate off leash time in some enclosed dog-friendly fields nearby upon request.
Information Laura E. would like to know about your pet
Please let us know if your pet has any medical or physical needs so we can accommodate them. We are more than happy to administer medication and monitor health, such as blood glucose levels, general health checks etc.
A typical day
Our current dog Olive loves taking walks in the park near our house and the occasional trip to the Cotswolds for more walks with a view. She also enjoys napping on the sofa and sleeping soundly in our bed. Therefore, a dog that enjoys these activities would be ideal.

Pet care experience
Pet Care Experience: My partner and I have extensive experience in veterinary care. I have worked as an emergency vet nursing assistant and student veterinary nurse, while my partner is a qualified veterinarian. We have encountered and worked with a wide variety of animals, and are adept at providing first aid if ever needed. While we love our current jobs, we are particularly passionate about working with animals and would like to extend this passion to our home life. In addition to our professional experience, we currently foster small breed dogs, including pugs, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Dachshunds, and others. We also have our own dog, a female pug named Olive, who was originally a foster dog but has become a permanent member of our family due to our deep affection for her. Therefore, any dogs that stay with us must be dog-friendly as Olive will be helping us insure you have a tired pooch.

Reviews

Laura was amazing! Kept us in the loop on how the boys were doing each day & seeing to their needs. I think they miss her already haha. Thank you again😊

Laura was amazing with Leo, my dog loved her so much and got on with her instantly. Laura clearly loves animals, and provided a first class service. I received lots of photos from the visit and updates on how he was, I would not hesitate to recommend Laura.

Once again Laura was fantastic with our 2 cats. Lots of daily updates and photos. We came back to two very happy cats! Thank you!

Went above and beyond to take care of our pet. Beyond 5 stars, helping our cat through an injury while we were away with so much care and compassion without any fuss. Ace 👍
