Pet care experience
I have had large family dogs since I was 2! Being an only child I spent much of my time with them and felt part of the "pack"! I have continued my love and passion for animals into my adult life. I have walked dogs for many friends and family members, worked with senior dogs who have special needs, and even held a grooming position for a time in an intern program. Due to this I have over 80 hours of in class experience learning about pet anatomy, safety, critical signs of illness and stress, proper handling for all breeds and their medical restrictions. The program also gave me experience in bathing, ear cleaning, nail clipping and taking care for multiple pets at a time in a high stress environment.

Laura did a good job with the basic care of our pets for several drop-in visits. However, securing the home and communication with the owner of the pets are just as important as feeding and watering them and she really dropped the ball here. When we arrived home, our back door had been left entirely unlocked for at least a few hours (maybe more if it hadn’t been locked on other visits). This is a big security concern. As far as communication goes, she was quick to accept the booking but then didn’t follow-up to schedule a meet and greet, so I did. I had to reach out to her twice to get a response and didn’t hear back until two days before our trip. I looked past this as an oversight but she also didn’t reach out about what to do with our key after the visits were done and kept it. Once home, I asked if she had left it anywhere or if we could arrange to get it back and it took 3 days of reminding her to drop it off where she would provide a date/time and then neglect to do it with no communication about something coming up, just radio silence. This was another security concern and generally frustrating experience. After this experience, I wouldn’t feel confident booking with Laura again in the future because I would be stressed about the security of my home and safety of my pets.
This was our first experience with Rover and Laura eased our mind and exceeded our expectations! Laura was responsive to our questions and came to meet Charlee before their first walk. She’s knowledgeable about all kinds of pets/animals and is clearly passionate about caring for them. We will definitely use her again and highly recommend her!

Laura did a great job with our kitties! She even took the time to bring in boxes from our porch. We have an older cat with an unusual no-litter situation which she was very willing to work with. It helped make our vacation less stressful knowing our boys were in good hands!

I have a fenced in back yard as well as a dog who is recall and harness trained. He plays well with other dogs and his favorite is small dogs so don't be worried he's a gentle giant! He is also crate trained and has a seperate room he can play In during a daycare stay if needed for the comfort of your pet. I have a kitten as well who is very friendly and loves to cuddle with her big brother but also has her own space for her litter box and food seperate from my dog. to keep them safe and healthy, waste safety and disposal is a big priority of mine. I also have my pets up to date on all vaccinations and keep my house tidy and all small objects at high levels to optimize animal safety! No left out foods or harmful cleaning chemicals used and close top trash cans for zero access.

Anything you would tell a vet or groomer would be great for me to know! It's all about the fun but we do want to keep your furry family members as safe as possible and this is vital! Personality quirks and ques are also a plus! The more I know about your furry friend the better I can make our time together! A favorite toy or bed in the house, a favorite tree to pee on? It's all helpful!
A typical day
Long walks in the park or trails are a must for us! Daily walks around the neighborhood when weather permits and lots of yard time if not! Enrichment toys and lots of play are what we're all about. Maybe even learning a new trick or two! For those relaxing days and less active clients it's all about cuddle time, comfy beds in every room and plenty of love! We love group pile ups and your pet will feel right at home with us!
