Caring and Energetic Pet Caretaker
Hi! I’m Laura — a licensed mental health therapist, mom, animal lover, and experienced pet sitter who truly understands that pets are family. I’ve been a sitter on Rover since 2019, originally as a fun and relaxing way to unwind from my full-time job, and it quickly became something I genuinely love. Our home is basically a mini zoo in the best way possible! I currently have three big dogs — Parker, Pepper, and Violet — five cats — Maxwell, Rowan, Louis, June, and Simon — plus a bearded dragon (Lincoln), a leopard gecko (Fig), and fish. All of my pets are well cared for, fully vaccinated, fixed, and on flea/heartworm prevention. I’m happy to provide vet records upon request. I have both personal and hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, rabbits, snakes, bearded dragons, fish, and small rodents, and I’m comfortable with animals of all sizes and personalities. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, senior, quirky, or somewhere in between, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and cared for while you’re away. I currently offer drop-in visits, pet check-ins, and walks in your home. I’m especially flexible on afternoons, weekends, school holidays, summers, and breaks from my counseling job, which allows me to provide extra availability during those times. I know how important communication is when someone else is caring for your pets, so I’ll always keep you updated with pictures, messages, and little check-ins while they’re in my care. I’m also happy to help with the little things that make traveling easier — watering plants (fellow plant mom here!), bringing in mail, and helping your home feel looked after while you’re away. Although Rover doesn’t allow all small animals to be listed, I also have experience caring for rabbits, snakes, reptiles, fish, and small rodents, so feel free to ask! I’m very understanding and flexible with scheduling changes and cancellations as well. Life happens, and I’ll always do my best to work with you if plans need to shift. I take care of all my animals in my home in different ways. My three dogs are very well socialized with animals and my cats are good with dog friendly dogs. My sheepadoodle has been a learning curve and has been in training with me for behaviors 😃. I have learned a lot with him in training on positive reinforcement and socialization. He has taught me a lot about anxious puppies 🐶

Laura just completed her fourth or fifth week taking care of our cats and she has always been phenomenal with making sure they have their food, water, a clean litter box, and plenty of attention! We are so grateful to have found Laura.

Laura is the absolute best. We have used her for three separate trips now to visit and care for our two cats, and she has gone above and beyond by doing things like grabbing the mail, bringing toys and treats, and sharing great photos with her updates. It was a huge comfort to have Laura watching things back home for us, and I HIGHLY recommend reaching out to her for any pet needs you have!
Laura is so great with the cats, they hide from most folks but regularly come out to say hello to her!
Laura and the Rover app have been a godsend for our pet! She does a stellar job.

Zeitplan
I currently work full time at a middle and high school so am available on weekends/holidays/summers and weekdays but working around high school hours. Taking care of pets has been my daily routine since I got my very first dog as a child. I have never been without a pet.
