Hi! My name is Laura and I am a recent college graduate. I am currently taking a few part time courses to wrap up requirements for medical school, which I will be applying to in a few years. I absolutely love animals and have been a cat mom to my lovely girl Abi for the last 10 years. From playing and giving treats to taking care of the kitty litter and giving topical medication, Abi and I have done it all together, and having her in my life has been one of the biggest lights. Although my living accommodations unfortunately do not match the lifestyle I would like to give a dog, I was lucky enough to foster for a short while during Covid. I fostered a sweet rescue puppy and in that time became comfortable with bathing, walking, playing, feeding, and giving medication to dogs. In addition, I enjoy walking dogs at the local shelter and playing with my best friends pups. I recently cat sit in someone’s apartment for 2 weeks and had such a great time hanging with their lovely kitties. I realized that having the opportunity to interact with and meet new animals was so wonderful, which is why I am offering service on Rover. Looking forward to meeting, playing, and loving some new animal friends :)

Although I have a fenced in backyard space, when I fostered a dog I loved taking him on walks in the park. When it comes to dogs specifically, I am happy to do whatever suits personal preference, whether that is backyard play time, walks in the neighborhood, or in a park. When I cat sit at a clients apartment, she familiarized me with favorite toys and location of food and litter equipment. As long as that information is provided I am able to care for any animal as it is my own.

Schedule
I’m currently taking a few courses as a part time student at Brooklyn College. Aside from that I work part time occasionally at a frozen yogurt shop so my days are typically free, with at minimum a few hours in the morning, afternoon and evening. I have been managing this schedule throughout the summer and have found lots of down time to hangout with and pamper my own kitty, so I am confident I am able to provide pet care with this schedule.
