I've been an animal lover since I was a young girl. I started a small animal rehabilitation business before the pandemic and found my way onto Rover during that time. I’ve assisted pet owners who are injured or ill and in need of help with their homes and pets for two + decades. I enjoy walking and caring for dogs and getting to know them. I am excellent with larger breeds and special needs. I am FEARFree Certified, and operate a private practice in Canine Therapy and Structural Integration and currently enrolled at the London College for Animal Osteopathy and Waldrop Animal Somatics. I am all about living things being happy and comfortable. I spent two seasons in Kanab, Utah volunteering with Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, I also work with the ASPCA. I am exceptional in difficult situations, administering meds, being in charge, and decision-making. I will keep your dog or cat safe at all times.

This beautiful and amazing lady made us feel so welcomed and she was a huge part of the success of our trip. Last minute, she helped us finish off our teen's christmas' gift by taking care of our pet Prince while we took him to ski. We didn't have anyone to watch over our pet while we went skiing. She found a solution to our struggles and treated him as his own. We know he's a sweet dog, but he's a barker and he usually does not get along with other dogs. So she accommodated him in a way we all felt ok with leaving him for a few of hours. Her place was lovely and it was cozy and I'm sure our baby was comfy, even when he didn't know her beforehand. She was so patient, knowledgeable and kind and I'm so happy we found someone so special during our trip!

Laura took such great care of my dog Cooper today. She wore him out - he’s going to sleep well tonight!!
Laura was the perfect sitter for our Kiva. She and Chloe (her pup) made Kiva a part of their pack for a quick drop-in, in a moment’s notice. We are forever grateful for her affectionate care and look forward to future visits!
Laura was fantastic! I felt so comfortable leaving Tamar in her caring hands. She was kind, communicative, knowledgeable and thoughtful. She took such loving care of my pup. I'm grateful to have found her through Rover and will definitely book with her again.
Laura was available on short notice to watch our two cats and she was wonderful. She was attentive and provided plenty of updates. She left the house as clean as I have ever seen! Highly recommended and we will be using her again in the future.

Schedule
I work from home and am in school (online) when not out in the field with a canine crew. I’m an early riser, so your dog will be too. I usually have three to four outings per week.

Safety, trust & environment
I can administer medication and injections, wrap bandages, and drive your pet to your preferred clinic for care. Cat owners must provide a crate. In my home, I can take up to one dog for boarding. Your family member/s will have the company of my dog Chloe who comes to work with me and all housesits - this is non negotiable . Chloe is a registered therapy dog. Separate meet and greets happen before the booked stay.

A typical day
At home, I am quiet, listen to music and write as well as cook. Your dog will enjoy a mellow, safe happy environment here with me. Out and about - we will be walking and hiking beautiful New Mexico!

- I would like to know your dog's rituals, habits, and sleeping patterns overnight. I would like to be aware of how they are with new people entering their home, and if there is ANY aggressive behavior displayed. I would like to be informed of any medications or health issues the dog has. I love larger dogs: Great Pyrenees, Mastiffs, and the sweet Ridgebacks.
