Welcome to the ultimate Doggie Daycation! Please note: I used to be a star sitter but I took alot of time off because I had a baby and lost my star sitter status :-( to rebuild my business I occasionally offer promotional prices for first time clients ( excluding holidays ) feel free to message me for more details! My husband and I have been caring for dogs for over 25 years, and animals have always been a huge part of our lives and home. We recently lost our beloved dog, Dartanian, a gentle and lovable Collie-Poodle mix who brought so much joy to everyone he met. He absolutely adored other dogs, and caring for him only deepened our love for welcoming furry friends into our lives. We miss him dearly and would love nothing more than to continue sharing our home with other dogs who need a safe, loving place to stay. We now share our home with Beatrice, our adorable long-haired Chihuahua. She is incredibly sweet, gentle, and has been around other dogs since she was little, so she is very comfortable having other pups in the home. She has a calm and easygoing nature, which helps visiting dogs settle in quickly and feel right at home with us. Both my husband and I work from home, so there is almost always someone here to provide attention, supervision, cuddles, potty breaks, and companionship throughout the day. We also welcomed our beautiful daughter into the world last year, and because we have a young child in the home, we try to limit things to ideally only one guest dog at a time whenever possible. For everyone’s comfort and safety, we ask that visiting dogs are gentle and comfortable around young children. We live in a lovely home with a nice yard and are right beside an off-leash dog park, which makes for lots of fun walks, playtime, and outdoor adventures. We already care for several dogs in our neighbourhood, and our home is a calm, loving environment where dogs are treated like family. My husband is wonderfully patient and intuitive with animals. Friends and neighbours often joke that he’s a bit of a dog whisperer. We know how important it is to leave your dog somewhere they’ll feel safe, loved, and cared for, and we would be so happy to welcome your pup into our home and hearts. Thank you and we hope to see you soon!

My dog, Cooper, enjoyed his stay at Laura’s place. She made sure that he got his daily walks and even took him out for a few trips at the Arboretum. We will definitely rebook whenever we’re in town.

Laura was a conscientious carer for my dog for almost 3 weeks. She did two shorter visits or trials prior to my departure, to ensure that he was comfortable in her home. Throughout my trip I received regular communication and updates, despite the difficult circumstances of her own dog's passing. Waldo received excellent care and regular long walks, was extremely happy in the home environment, and seemed almost reluctant to leave! Thank you Laura.

Laura took wonderful care of my dog, a large, old husky to the point that he didn't really want to leave! They let him spend time outside hanging out which is all he really wants to do all day. Thanks again!!!

Laura and Pascal are true dog lovers. Maggie was full of hugs when saying goodbye and was clearly well cared for.

Can they be off leash or not ? 3. Are they crate trained or not ? 4. Do they have accidents when in a new persons home ? 5. Do they get along with other dogs? Do they have a routine feeding schedule or do they eat/graze throughout the day ? 6. Do they have any allergies? 7. Are they possessive or aggressive (resource guarding) about anything ? Does your dog like to eat garbage, paper towel rolls, socks, or other mystery items they may find in the park ? 11. Are there any behaviors they have that you would like to discourage and/or have us work on ? 12. Is there anything else unique or special we should be aware of ? Please note that these are not meant as screening questions at all so answering these questions as honestly as possible will help us better prepare for their visit! We also request that you bring only the essentials for your dog to help avoid items being misplaced. Of course we want to have your dog's food and prefered treats but here are things we also appreciate having: 1. Crate or prefered bed when applicable. 2. Something with your smell on it: Only if it would give your dog comfort. 3. Chew toys/bones/bully sticks: These are always appreciated as it keeps your dogs happy and engaged for the times that we need to step out! 4. Medical information: Please provide us with a list of any allergies or sensitivities your dog may have ( on a sheet of paper or in a text ). 5. Emergency contacts: In the event of an emergency, please provide us with your dog's vet number as well as a person we can contact if we are unable to reach you. 6. Your dog's harness if you have one. Some items that may be better left at home : 1. Dog bowls: We have plenty already, if you bring one please put your dogs name on it . 2. Leashes: We have several leashes already so feel to check with us to see if you would need to bring one or not. 3. Dog toys: Unless you think they would prefer their own, we have plenty of toys here! And finally for your dogs care package, if possible please take a photo of the items you are dropping off so we can have everything packed up for you when you pick up! Thank you and we look forward to meeting your four legged friends!
