I work 9-5 during the week but am a total homebody the rest of the time. I take a lot of pride in keeping your pets company while their humans are away. A visit for me is about more than just food and water. It’s about affection and enriching your pet’s day.

I am unable to host pets, but am comfortable staying with them at home or checking on them at least 2-3 times a day. I take my duties as a caregiver seriously, and I feel responsible for comforting pets who miss their owners while under my care. I believe that check ins should be more than a hurried five minute potty break for pets emotional well being.

Please let me know if your pet has any medications or special concerns I need to address during the booking. In general I like to do a walk through of a typical days routine with the pet and owner. It feels like an introduction to the pet, so that hopefully they feel less anxiety when they are alone with me.
A typical day
I am a pretty quiet person. My hobbies include being outdoors as much as possible, as well as reading/listening to books and crafting. I’m a perfect companion for snuggle bugs who need that dose of closeness every day.

Walking: I have experience taking care of a range of sizes and range of temperaments of dogs. I’ve worked with shelter dogs and am used to slowly acclimating shy/nervous animals to my company. I spend my free time running and playing frisbee so if your dog likes to play we’ll get along great! Drop in visits and House sitting: I have owned and volunteered with shelter cats and dogs for over a decade and am used to a wide range of temperaments. Additionally, I am a biologist with wildlife rehabilitation experience. Besides this, I’m an enthusiastic and energetic playmate for your pup or kitty!

Laura was absolutely amazing. She was so good with Rocco, she was so accommodating and was able to work around a difficult delay in my flight as well. She was very communicative, always answered when I texted, sent me lots of photos and just took great care of my dog overall. She is extremely trustworthy and I can’t wait to have her watch Rocco again!
