I work from home and own my own business (Let Go, Let Laura) so I am fortunate to be able to set my own schedule to fit the needs of whatever is necessary. The best compliment I ever got when pet sitting for 10 days was that the owner said her 3 dogs acted as if she had never left. She was very sensitive to any changes in her pets, and she could always tell that they were a bit stressed upon her return in the past. As an almost 63 yo, with grown children, and a previous pet owner, I treat a client's home and their pets as if they were my own. Might have a friend over for a cup of coffee or glass of wine, but would never have a dance party or overnight! (I actually heard of this happening and wanted to clarify this would not happen with me). I have a 5 star rating with my airbnb, and my goal is to keep that rating here on Rover. 😌

Please let me know if your dog (or cat) is not good with children, strangers, dog parks, prefers not too much interaction, or any particular idiosyncrasies. Some of my favorite pets are rescues, but they also come with a special set of needs.
A typical day
My friend is one of the owners of Bar-K, so if your pet likes to join in with others, let me know. I also like giving dogs a chance to experience their surroundings while on walks, while also letting them feel comfortable knowing I'm in charge and will take care of them.

After doing this for several years as a full-time job, I never imagined transitioning from the legal community to providing care for my clients’ pets and their homes would be so rewarding! But I treat this much more than just a pet sitting opportunity. I provide the type of quality care and maturity that I would expect for my own home and pets. And it’s a high bar! I’m not the cheapest, but I am definitely not the most expensive. I try to be competitive, but the kind of trust and care required is priceless. I look forward to having a conversation and earning your trust.

We have not been on a vacation in a very long time due to elderly dogs, and then adopted a pup during Covid, then we rescued a dog six months ago, so we have been vacationing separately for about 10 years. But finally something came up that was a very important event, thus our search for a person to stay in our home. Now mind you, I'm the most obsessive person ever, and expect things a certain way, not to mention how overly protective I am of our pups... we found the perfect person with Laura. I cannot say enough positive things about her because people will stop reading, but she is truly a gem, and I recommend her 100%. The house was exactly as we left it. She followed our (very detailed lol) instructions, and here is the most important things - our dogs loved her and they don't like many people! Never did I expect to find someone that worked out so perfect for all our needs. She's just a natural, but most of all, I felt completely relaxed and didn't worry at all! 5+ Stars!!!
Laura was the best dog sitter I’ve ever had. I’m super OCD about my dog Kobe and she put my mind at ease with how well she was taking care of him and reassuring me that everything would be ok. She sent me videos and updates which was awesome. Laura is very comfortable with dogs and I would highly recommended her for anyone needing someone to watch their dog(s). I will definitely be using her going forward.
Laura was awesome! She met with our pups in advance of our leaving, told us what we could expect and kept us informed during our trip by posting pics and videos. We were thrilled with her service (as were our pups). We highly recommend her and will use her again! Don
