Musician and Long-Time Cat Mom
I started working on Rover while I was PhD student in Austin, TX and loved it! While meeting tons of nice pets and people, I received over 150 five-star reviews. I'm excited to keep working as a sitter in San José beginning in the fall of 2026. My friends call me the Cat Whisperer because I seem to make friends with almost every cat, but I also have plenty of experience watching dogs and enjoying working with them as well. I had my adopted cat, Lily, for 12 years and she lived to be 20.5 before passing away in January 2024. After being her human for quite a while, I'm confident that I can provide quality care for pets of any age. As of July 2024, I am cat mom to two adorable orange girls, Dora and Mira who I raised from 7-week-old kittens. In the past, I have administered insulin shots, subcutaneous fluids, pills, and liquid medications, mostly to cats. If your pet requires medication administration, I am happy to consider it and will wait to confirm the booking until after I've had a chance to see their routine and ask questions during our meet and greet.

I treat my clients home with the care and privacy I would want out of my own pet-sitter. It's important that I leave things tidy and treat your property with respect. I also find it important to communicate clearly and thoroughly, especially when questions come up. If it's at all reassuring, I was also a band director for nine years, so I've passed many school background checks.

Laura is a fantastic sitter and was extremely helpful when dropping in to assist with feeding my cat, Surge. Surge has diabetes and also requires special eye drops, so Laura’s help with administering his post-meal insulin shot and eye drops was crucial in keeping his health in check while I was away.
So grateful for the many times Laura has watched my little one! She’s reliable, thorough, and goes above and beyond to be helpful 😊 Highly rec!

Schedule
I am currently working full-time at SJSU but have a flexible schedule on Mondays and Fridays in addition to being here most weekends. I may also be able to accommodate some evening visits on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Feel free to inquire about specific dates!
