I have West Ham Park nearby, a fenced public garden where I regularly take my own dog for walks. It’s only a five-minute walk from my home, and the street leading to the park is residents-only, with very little car traffic. When walking to other parks, I always choose routes with as little traffic as possible and try to avoid busy or crowded streets. I also pay attention to things that could be distracting or stressful for dogs, such as loud noises, litter on the street and very busy areas.
