Right now, I have open availability and plenty of time to dedicate to your pet’s care. I'm currently in between jobs, so I’m flexible and able to accommodate last-minute bookings, daily walks, and extended stays. Even when I’m busy, I always make time for my own dog — caring for animals is just a natural part of my routine. Once I’m working part-time, pet care will still be a priority in my schedule. Whether it’s walks, check-ins, or overnight stays, I’ll continue to provide consistent, loving care with reliability you can count on.

Your dog will also have a built-in playmate — my own well-trained and friendly dog, who’s great at matching energy levels and knows when to give other dogs space. It’s a great setup for high-energy dogs who love to play, but also calm enough for dogs who just want to relax. In Your Home: When caring for pets in their own home, I focus on keeping their routine consistent and stress-free. I’ll follow all feeding, walking, and care instructions exactly as you leave them, and I always treat your space with respect. Whether it’s cuddles, playtime, or quiet companionship, I adjust to your pet’s needs to help them feel comfortable and cared for.

Before caring for any pet, I like to know their routine, personality, and any preferences you have so I can provide the best care possible. It's important for me to understand your pet's daily schedule, energy level, likes and dislikes, and how they interact with other animals. I also ask that you share any medical conditions, allergies, medications, or behavioral concerns ahead of time, as well as your contact info and an emergency contact in case you're unavailable. The more I know, the better I can keep your pet happy, healthy, and safe while you're away!
A typical day
Pets in my care will get plenty of fun, exercise, and enrichment! I’m based in Boothbay, where there are lots of dog-friendly hiking trails — perfect for adventurous pups (with the owner’s permission, of course). At home, I have a spacious house and a large, secure yard with a dog run for safe outdoor play. Your dog will also have the chance to play with my own friendly and well-behaved pup, who loves to socialize and keeps playtime engaging and active. I have an endless supply of toys, puzzles, and enrichment games to match your dog’s energy level and personality — all tailored to their needs and your preferences. Whether your pup loves a trail hike, a game of fetch, or just sniffing around the yard, I’ll make sure they’re having a great time while staying safe and happy.

I’m more than just a sitter — I’m someone who’s dedicated my life to understanding and caring for animals. I’ve grown up with dogs, and my passion for their well-being has only deepened over the years. I’ve worked hands-on in both doggy daycares and animal care facilities, where I gained experience caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments — as well as other animals. I’ve also personally trained my own dog to become a service dog, which has given me deep insight into canine behavior, patience, and positive reinforcement techniques. I’m currently pursuing certification as a professional dog trainer and working toward a bachelor’s degree in Animal Behavior — so I bring both real-world experience and science-backed knowledge to every walk and visit. Whether it’s puppies needing structure, seniors needing gentle care, or high-energy dogs that need a good workout, I tailor my approach to each dog’s unique needs. Above all, I treat every animal as if they were my own — with love, respect, and consistency.

Latisha has been perfection! She is so great with my dog, dependable and very responsive. Communication has been a breeze. Latisha sends updates and photos so I know everything is going well. I’m so happy I found her! My dog was nervous and Latisha’s become a trusted friend so quickly, she’s gentle and a nice calm presence which is just what a nervous pup needs.
I have known latisha for the past 4 years and she is amazing with all animals. There has not been a dog that doesn't run up to her with a wagging tail. My mom has a very skittish dog that doesn't like people at all and she went up to latisha, the firat time she met her, with her head high looking for attention. Latisha is very gentle and let's the animal come up to her when they are ready. Latisha has had an assortment of pets that she has taken care of over the years. I different recommend her if you are looking for someone you can trust with your fur babys.
The i worked with Latisha at Blue Dog daycare and one thing i always noticed about her was that not only did she start every day on the right foot, and loves each and every dog with her whole heart no matter size shape age or breed. Big, small, fluffy, smooth, young old, she treated each dog as if it were her own. I knew for certain i could trust her with both the safety and well being of every dog there. Not to mention her own fur baby at home. Never have i met another dog so spoiled! Latisha’s own dog is the happiest, healthiest pup I’ve ever seen! I’m actually not sure there is anyone out there who loves their dog more than Tish does (other than myself). She will for sure make the most responsible, fun, reliable, safe pet sitter you could ever hire to take care of something so special. Go Tish!
