Recently retired from a 40 yr IT career, and have a flexible schedule. I am home pretty much everyday. Love to spend time playing with our four legged friends. All my life I've had a good rapport with dogs, they are drawn to me. They know good people when they see them I guess. Please see my gallery. We have 2 small dogs, 12 yr old Chihuahua Jaxson and a 12 yr old Beagle/Dachsund mix, Frankie. Jaxson is very sweet and quite harmless as is Frankie. Jaxson generally ignores other dogs but will sometimes actively play with them. Frankie is my dog ambassador - he loves all the dogs that come to stay with us, and is very playful. In my bio I have 2 dear fairly recently departed dogs listed that I've left in their as a memorial to them. I miss them very much.

Our home has lots of shade trees with almost an acre of securely fenced in yard, and lots and lots of squirrels. Also, shaded streets for long walks. I take our guest dogs out at least every 2 hours or more and closely supervise them. We give your dog the run of the house as do ours and will be pampered. I highly recommend a meet and greet, so look forward to meeting you and your fur baby.

We do have to limit to small and medium dogs for daycare/boarding. For boarding I advise kenneling at night, not absolutely necessary for us but highly recommended. Would be happy to work on kennel training for you, if you provide a proper kennel and blanky/bed. Their own dog bed with familiar smells is a good idea, as is a favorite toy(s), treats. Please bring any medications - will be happy to administer them.

Around the perimeter of our yard we have a beautiful nature trail. Several times a day I walk our guest dogs on this - they love it, makes them feel like part of a pack. It's also part of my exercise routine Does your dog love to play catch? Playing with dogs is so much fun. Maybe there are particular games they like to play, or special toys they have. If your dog loves to run distances I can train them to run next to my bicycle (on leash) - with your permission of course. Most take right to it quickly as dogs love to run.

Doggie daycare/walking/sitting in Yulee/ Fernandina area. We have a beautiful one acre fenced in yard with lots of trees (and plenty of squirrels). I love being around and hanging out with dogs. It's so much fun to play with them and watch how they interact with each other as most are very sociable if given the chance. We humans are so blessed by God to have these wonderful animals in our lives. I have many years caring for dogs. I offer a customized/homey/personalized experience for your pet. If your pooch has a favorite game, or likes to chase balls we have a large open area for them to run. Will send pix of your pet just to let you know they are well and having fun. If you have an emergency and need help with your pooch please contact me. We understand things happen, people have to go out of town suddenly, change in vacation plans, etc. Pickup/drop off service available. Also, I'd be happy to work on obedience training and/or bathe them if you'd, like before pickup.

Sam was healthy and happy when I picked her up this morning. I know she loves chasing the squirels in the back yard!
Larry was wonderful. He has a terrific back yard and our dog seems to have done well. Larry sent photos of our dog having fun in the yard. I will return to Larry in the future.
We really appreciated Larry’s regular updates on our pups! We hate leaving them behind, but he made it very comfortable. They had room to run and had a wonderful time!!! We would definitely ask Larry to care for our girls again!
Larry was outstanding with our dog, Ty! We look forward to opportunity for Ty to spend time with Larry again!
