We are a retired couple who recently lost our dog. We want to have a gap in owning a dog to be freer to travel, but also want to have them in our lives. Rover seems like a great solution. We have had dogs on and off most of our lives. When I grew up my dad had dogs that were racoon hunters. Laura has had in house dogs most of her adult life. I am a pretty active person, I walk a lot each day and I feel having dogs around is helpful and motivational. We live in a one level, ground floor condo, so there are no steps in our house. I don't work and Laura has a very part-time job at a doggy daycare, so we can be around quite a bit during the day.

Larry and Laura were absolutely wonderful with our two energetic Labs! They were incredibly accommodating and made us feel completely at ease while we were away. Their communication was fantastic—they sent plenty of pictures, kept us updated, and took the time to talk through how each of our pups was doing. It was clear that our dogs were well cared for and in great hands. We would absolutely trust Larry and Laura with them again and highly recommend them!
I've been close friends with Larry & Laura for over 15 years, and I don't know of two people that are greater dog lovers than they are. Larry was devoted to his dog Guinness, walking him multiple times daily, and his wife Laura, after a career in banking & finance, took a part-time front desk job at a local commercial doggy day care just so she could be around dogs more often. Our three small dogs (Poodle/Maltese mixes/mutts) all love Larry & Laura, and I fully endorse Larry & Laura as dog caregivers.

Schedule
We are retired couple who are at home a lot. I have over 800 days in a row that I've gotten 10,000+ steps in each and every day, and I would appreciate having your dog help me. We have a very accessible dog-park if you feel your dog can be trusted in that situation.

We will currently be pet free and very available. We can crate your dog if necessary. We love dogs and would look forward to caring for yours.
A typical day
I walk a lot each day, so I'd be very willing to walk your dog. We have a dog park nearby if your dog has dog park experience and you feel confident it will come for me when it's time to go. Willing to do ball toss if your dog brings the ball back.
