Hi! We’re Larna and Richard — a friendly, reliable couple based in Chesterfield who absolutely adore dogs. Whether you need last‑minute help or a regular go‑to sitter, we’re here to make sure your pup feel safe, loved, and completely at home. We both have a car so are able to travel if required. Between us we have 6+ years experience dog sitting. We are happy to provide references upon request. We are flexible so can offer a range of services that suit you and your fur baby, offering the best care to them and ensuring communication with you is priority.

Larna and Rich have been fantastic looking after Ava. We were gone for 8 days on holiday and I was sent daily photos and updates. From all of the photos, I could see how content Ava was which really put my mind at rest so we could enjoy our family holiday. I have used Larna before this but will reach out to her yet again when we next need a dog sitter. Fully recommend.
Larna and Richard have been fantastic looking after Wilf overnight. Larna and Rich looked after our older Border Terrier, Red, for a week and we honestly couldn’t have asked for better sitters. From the very first meet and greet, and seeing their home, we knew they were perfect for Red. We never felt nervous about leaving her with them, which says everything. Communication was amazing throughout — very quick responses and loads of updates while we were away. We received 49 pictures and videos of Red having the absolute best time, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She got lots of cuddles, fun walks, and loved socialising. Larna and Rich are such a lovely couple and clearly care so much about the dogs they look after. We would 100% recommend them and will definitely be rebooking in the future. Thank you both for taking such great care of Red!

Larna and her partner were great from the offset. Super communication with quick responses. She was eager for a meet up so that we could assure it was a right fit for our dog and she was friendly, approachable and accommodating to all of Ava’s quirks! Ava clearly was looked after and we were kept in the loop throughout the entire day. Larna is now looking after Ava for an entire week a little later in the year and I have no hesitations that she’ll have nothing but a great stay. I would fully recommend Larna to any other pet owners.

Schedule
Because we both work shifts, our schedule is really flexible — and works perfectly for dog care. Most days, one of us is home, which means your dog will have company for the majority of the day. Richard works mostly early mornings and is usually home by 3:30/4pm at the latest. I work a mixture of shifts, with many of them being evenings. This means there’s almost always someone around, and on the rare occasions we’re both out, it’s only for short periods. We’re committed to keeping your dog’s routine consistent, comfortable, and stress‑free. If you need last‑minute care, our overlapping schedules make it easy for us to help. I think transparency is key and would prefer to inform owners about our work schedule so we can work together to ensure it's the right fit and I can offer as much reassurance as needed - your love and dedication to your fur baby, becomes ours when they stay with us!

We’ve recently moved into a cosy end‑terraced house with a secure, private gated garden, which is perfect for dogs who enjoy fresh air, sniffing around, and relaxing outdoors. Safety is really important to us, so we always make sure the gate is locked and the garden is supervised during playtime. Inside, dogs have plenty of space to settle, explore, and get comfy. We keep our home calm and welcoming, and we’re happy to follow your dog’s usual routine — whether that’s crate time, sofa cuddles, set feeding times, or specific training cues. We’re lucky to have lots of lovely walks nearby, both within walking distance and just a short drive away. Whether your dog prefers quiet paths, open fields, or a steady neighbourhood stroll, we can match their pace and energy. Because we work different shifts, one of us is home most of the day, so your dog will rarely be left alone, and only ever for short periods. They’ll get lots of attention, fuss, and company throughout the day. We’re always happy to send regular updates and photos so you can see how they’re getting on.
A typical day
We’ll be sure to stimulate your dog both mentally and physically. We’ll play a load of games throughout the day, allow them to gain all of the new smells in the neighbourhood and take a walk down to the canal, the peak district or local park. We're also happy to practice any new skills they’re working on and keep you updated on how they’re doing, including photos of their day!
