Safety, trust & environment

Your dog’s safety and comfort are always my priority. Before a stay, I like to learn as much as I can about their normal routine, personality, triggers, medical needs, and any little quirks I should know about. I’ll follow your instructions closely, keep doors, gates, and leashes secure, and never put your dog in an unfamiliar or unnecessary situation without your permission. I’m also respectful of your home and will keep their space clean and comfortable while you’re away. If anything seems off, I’ll communicate with you right away—because I’d rather ask a question than make an assumption when it comes to your dog.

Information Larissa H. would like to know about your pet

Before a stay, I’d love to know as much as possible about your dog’s normal routine, personality, likes and dislikes, feeding schedule, medications, allergies, and favorite ways to play or relax. Please also tell me about any anxiety, reactivity, resource guarding, escape attempts, bite history, or triggers around other animals, people, food, toys, leashes, or being left alone. There’s absolutely no judgment—the more honest and detailed you are, the better I can keep your dog comfortable, safe, and cared for the way they’re used to!

A typical day

A typical day with me is based around keeping your dog as close to their normal routine as possible. We’ll start with a morning potty break, followed by breakfast, medications, or whatever their usual morning looks like. Throughout the day, they’ll get plenty of attention, potty breaks, playtime, walks if requested, and time to relax and cuddle. I’ll stick closely to their normal feeding and medication schedule, send you morning and evening updates with plenty of pictures and videos, and make sure they get one last potty break before bed. If your dog likes to be tucked in or sleep with someone nearby, I’m happy to keep that part of their routine too! I will do my best to ensure your dog is not left alone for more than 5-6 hrs at a time.

Dog-Mom Care While You’re Away

Pet care experience

When you’re away, you should be able to take a load off—not spend your time wondering whether your pets are comfortable, lonely, or getting the attention they’re used to. The moment you leave them with me, I go into dog-mom mode on your behalf. I’ve had dogs my entire life and currently have two of my own, Bruce and Fiona. They’ve taught me patience, consistency, and how important the little details are. I’m comfortable managing multiple-pet households, medication and feeding schedules, different energy levels, late-night potty breaks, and the individual routines that help each pet feel safe. Does your dog like to be tucked into bed at night? Perfect—I can do that. Do they sleep better with someone nearby? I’ll be right there. Are they shy, high-energy, particular about their routine, or happiest with plenty of affection? I’ll take the time to learn what makes them comfortable. You’ll typically receive morning and evening updates with plenty of photos and videos, so you can relax and see how your pets are doing while you’re away. I’m also happy to adjust based on how often you’d like to hear from me. To me, VIP pet care isn’t about treating every animal exactly the same. It means paying attention, following your instructions closely, keeping you updated, and caring for your pets the way I care for my own. While they’re with me, they become part of my pack—and I take that responsibility seriously.
