Caring cat sitter in Zwolle
Hi, I’m Lara! I‘m 27 years old, based in Zwolle, originally from Germany and I’m a huge cat person. I’ve been looking after cats for friends and family for years and over the past few months I’ve completed several cat sitting jobs here in Zwolle too. I even have two Ragdoll kittens of my own at home. Having them around has taught me so much more about cat behaviour and I still love meeting new cats and getting to know their personality. I’m happy to do a free meet and greet first so you can see if we’re a good fit! I’m still learning Dutch, so I mainly communicate in English, but also speak German. We’ll find a way! Can’t wait to meet you and your cat(s)!

Since I only do home visits, the cat always stays in their own familiar environment. I’m a calm and patient person who understands that every cat is unique. Whether your cat is playful, independent, shy or more reserved, I always let them decide how much contact they want. I keep my distance when needed and adjust each visit to the individual cat — sometimes that means keeping it shorter and calmer and sometimes it means staying a bit longer if they need more time to warm up. Before the first visit I ask the owner about their cat’s routine, habits and anything important to know. During the visit I stick to that routine as closely as possible. I always make sure windows and doors are secured. I‘ll send photos and videos during my visits so you can see how your cat is doing and I’ll keep you updated if I notice anything unusual. In case of an emergency, I’ll contact you and your vet straight away and keep you informed every step of the way.

Lara made it possible for us to enjoy our holiday completely worry-free. Our cat Snoet is definitely a little character with her own quirks, but Lara wasn’t put off by that at all and took great care of her. We received photos and an update every day, even though sometimes it was nearly impossible to get a good photo of Snoet! It was clear that Lara genuinely cared about her and made sure she was happy and comfortable while we were away. We would absolutely recommend Lara to anyone looking for a caring and reliable pet sitter. When we came home, there was even a very sweet and personal card waiting for us. Such a lovely experience!

Lara heeft uitstekend voor mijn kat Zwartsie gezorgd. Vanaf het eerste moment was duidelijk dat ze veel liefde heeft voor dieren en goed begrijpt wat een kat nodig heeft. Zwartsie voelde zich snel op zijn gemak bij haar en kreeg alle aandacht, verzorging en knuffels die hij nodig had. Tijdens mijn afwezigheid wist ik dat hij in goede handen was. Lara is betrouwbaar, verantwoordelijk en communiceert prettig. Ik zou haar zonder twijfel aanbevelen aan iedereen die op zoek is naar een zorgzame en betrokken kattenoppas.

Schedule
Each visit takes around 30 minutes and includes feeding, fresh water, cleaning the litter box and some quality time with your cat. I’m also happy to give oral medication if needed, water your plants and collect your post while you’re away. I currently have a flexible schedule and am available any day of the week, so I can easily work around your routine.

- Please let me know if your cat has any special needs, habits or things to watch out for. I’m not trained or experienced in administering medication unless it’s oral, so please keep that in mind if your cat needs any other type of treatment.
