I offer a free meet-and-greet to all new clients so I can get to know you and your pet(s). This is when I learn everything about them, such as when and what they eat, the toys they love, where they like to walk, grooming needs, medications, etc. Does your dog prefer chasing a ball in the yard, or is a walk more their thing? By understanding their unique preferences, I can make sure they’re happy and healthy while you’re away. If your pet suffers from anxiety, is reactive, or has certain "quirks", that’s not a problem - I just need to know ahead of time so I can keep them safe and comfortable.
A typical day
I let your pets set the pace for their day. After talking with you and meeting them, I’ll learn what they enjoy and what they don’t so that I can create an itinerary tailored just for them. I believe animals are happiest when they can follow a familiar routine, so I do my best to keep things as close to normal as possible while you’re away.

With over 10 years of experience caring for dogs, cats, and homes, I bring a calm, confident, and compassionate approach to every animal I meet. I've volunteered and worked at dog shelters and animal sanctuaries, giving me hands-on experience with a wide range of animals; not just dogs and cats but also rabbits, chickens, pigs, goats, horses, and sheep. I'm comfortable with all types of pets, from mischievous puppies and large breeds to reactive or anxious animals. I’m experienced in administering medication and following detailed care routines. Whether your pet needs extra patience, playtime, or just a steady presence while you're away, I’m here to help.

We are so thankful we found Lara to watch our sweet girl Frannie while we were away! She is slow to warm up to new people and doesn’t make the best first impression, but Lara was extremely patient and gracious with her every step of the way. We were kept updated with photos and videos the entire time and were so happy to see that they bonded so well. Lara went out of her way taking Frannie on multiple walks per day, and she even took out our trash cans on trash day without us asking. We highly recommend her for all your pet care needs!
