Loving and responsible pet lover!
Hello pet owners of Victoria! I am unable to own a pet due to my partner's allergies and our home's pet restrictions but I really miss time with furry creatures. I had pets growing up(cat, dog, rabbit, hamsters, turtles, fish etc) which I was responsible to care for including feeding, cleaning up after and walking. I have also taken care of both cats and dogs for friends and family members for more than a week at a time. Although my profile says 2 years, I have pet sitting experience dating back to 2012 and have had approximately 10 sits with the same 2 households( plus several new sits since June 2026). I found it difficult to explain my experience by number of years! I also have more testimonials available upon request from sits outside of Rover. I am a person who is highly attuned to the needs of both humans and animals, and very responsive with communication. I have my own vehicle so can take dogs to the park or favourite trail or beach easily. I am very neat and clean and will leave your home in excellent condition! NOTE: re my rates for services include 2 proper walks per day as well as feeding, watering plants. I also require a meet and greet to ensure it is a good fit and prefer to see the home and how things work/ where things are first! Photos are ok if for some reason, a home visit doesn’t work but a home visit is my preference. For extended walks( more than 60 min daily) or more extensive care, rates will be higher once discussed and can also discuss this during the meet and greet. It’s also possible that I can sometimes offer discounts based on the length of the stay. These competitive rates will be offered temporarily as I build my clientele. A glowing review is worth a lot! Please note that as of Sept 8th: my availability for potty breaks for dogs will be 8-8.5 hours from Monday- Thursday because of my full time work hours. Fri- Sundays and holiday/ long weekends are a lot more flexible for more frequent potty breaks. Also, dog walking and drop in rates only apply if I’m not already house sitting/ staying in your home.

I would need to stay in a client's home for longer pet sitting gigs but can do cat care and dog walking/care with flexibility on weekends and have flexible availability in the summer from July-September for people who are on vacations! From September- June, I am still available to provide care but just not mid day walks for dogs during the week.

Lara was great! She was very communicative and our dog loved her. We would highly recommend her to anyone who needs a dog sitter/house sitter. Our place was left in better condition than when we left. All our requests were followed.

Lara looked after my pets (two dogs and three cats) as if they were her own! The dogs had been walked and exercised daily, the house was immaculate and it was pretty obvious that my pet family had established a lovely bond with Lara! I highly recommend Lara as a dependable and honest pet lover who will make sure your pets are safe, cared for and happy while you are away.
It was a huge relief to have Lara looking after our dog and home while we were away on holidays. We knew our dog was in great hands with Lara. She went above and beyond and sent us adorable photos of our dog while we were away. I will definitely recommend Lara to my friends and would be grateful to have her look after our family dog and home in the future.
I am so happy that Lara is once again offering her services as a pet sitter extraordinaire! It’s clear that Lara truly loves pets, but beyond that, she is competent, responsible, helpful, a great communicator and just really, really easy to give instructions to. Schedule
I have also been responsible for caring for homes for a similar length of time. I have been employed full-time as a secondary school teacher for over 15 years which is my ongoing gig but during the school year I am available to care for animals before work and after, as well as on weekends. I am quite flexible during the summer for dog walks and pet and house sitting gigs though have some limitations with a few pre-existing commitments. I am very punctual with time management, gentle, warm, soft and highly responsible! I am happy to provide regular updates as per your request!

I am open to all breeds but appreciate you taking the time to provide important instructions, and written communication is always best for me. I prefer 1 dog at a time for now, though am happy to take a home with one dog and a cat, or a home with up to 3-4 cats at a time. I can also pet sit for rabbits, etc! Also, the earlier you can book me, the better! I tend to book up quickly with either pet sits or my own plans and always really appreciate bookings that are requested a week or more in advance!
