I have a great deal of flexibility in my schedule to walk your dogs and snuggle your kitties! I currently have a very part-time job, but I enjoy being busy, active and outside! I love to walk outdoors, rain or shine, and enjoy nothing more than a long stroll with a cute pup.

I’m obsessive when it comes to my own animal’s health and well being. Keeping your pet safe, secure and happy is my number one priority. I take time frames, requests, and special needs very seriously, and you can trust me to do everything in my power to meet your dog or cat’s needs, whatever they may be.

As much information provided ahead of time about your pets’ needs and energy levels will help me to provide the kind of care I want to! No amount of information is too much. If your dog likes to go to the dog park, I’m there. If they prefer quiet walks around the neighborhood alone, that’s great too. I really am here to make your dog as comfortable and secure as possible while away from their family. As far as cats go, I can stay and play/snuggle your cat if they are social, but am also happy to do a quick drop in and change out water, feed, and clean litter boxes if that’s all that’s needed . I know some cats are nervous with new people in the home and need space, so with that information I am happy to get in and out, so they can relax again. One of my cat’s is indoor only so I’m very conscientious about doors getting left open, etc. I promise to keep your indoor kitties safe inside. I will make sure all doors get closed immediately and triple check they are safe inside before I leave. Another thing I feel sets me apart is that I have fastidious cleaning expectations for my own litter box, so I promise to treat yours the same. I shake out the mat if there is one, sweep or vacuum up any loose cat litter from around the box, and keep whatever system you have orderly and clean. I’m also happy to remove my shoes when entering your home, and any other detail that you can think of to keep things tidy and sanitary. I personally am obsessively clean, and I feel as though you will see that reflected in my work.

A tired dog is a happy dog in my opinion ☺️ Physical exercise catered to your particular animal’s energy level and needs is my number one priority, followed up with all the love and snuggles they are up for. I do have to children that have been raised with animals and are incredibly respectful of dogs’ space, but will be present at times. I also have a very well socialized large dog who LOVES all creatures. He has a very calm demeanor and has helped nervous, insecure dogs find their confidence and come out of their shell. I feel completely confident and safe having other socialized dogs who are up to date on their vaccinations around him.

I’ve been enamored with animals my entire life. They add an element of joy and peace that nothing else has come close to. As a child I dedicated all of my time and allowance to my eclectic hobby farm complete with goats, chickens, ducks, numerous dogs and cats, rabbits, fish, birds and eventually horses. The amount of purpose animals have given me is indescribable and I couldn’t imagine a life without them. I am excited to be able to provide the level of care and attention I would want my own pets to receive when unable to be with them, and I am confident you will be happy with my service. I am a substitute at my children’s school, so I have flexibility in my schedule to take care of your precious pets, too! I currently have two senior kitties that require a little extra TLC, a rescue dog, and I ride horses multiple times a week, so I’m no stranger to the world of animal care. I would love the opportunity to share my experience and passion with you and your animals! I understand the level of commitment and work pets require, and I promise to treat your animals as if they were my very own. Can’t wait to meet you!

Lara has a natural affinity for animals. Whether they are cats, dogs or horses, they must sense her generous heart because they all love her. When she has cared for my dogs, I knew that they were being loved and kept safe.
I have known Lara for over 15 years and we met because of an initial bond over the love of animals. Lara cares deeply for the well being of every animal she meets, often going above and beyond what is asked for - giving more and meeting unspoken needs of these animals as well. She communicates in love and kindness and gains the trust and respect of all those four legged that cross her path. She is my first go-to when I need a hand with one of my own!
