Experienced Former Dog Mom South RD
I was a dog mom for 20+ years to a Weimaraner and a Husky-Lab cross. My Weimaraner was quite high needs as far as his health - oral meds, eye drops, ear drops, subcutaneous shots, etc. They were the loves of my life! They were the kings of the house, and I took their daily exercise, health and happiness very seriously. Since my weim passed, I have taken in dogs for the short term (from 3 days to 1 week to 1-2 mos.) for friends and neighbors. I’ve also walked and let out dogs for those in need (just not on Rover :)). People tend to call on me because they know how much I adore dogs and trust me to give the utmost care and responsibility for their own furry companions. Through a local foster program, I’ve taken many dogs out for “Doggy Day Out,” where they’ve spent the day with me. On these days, I’ve walked and cared for many dogs with different temperaments and needs. I have 12 and 14 year old girls who are busy with activities. Since they’re occupied, I’d love to spend time caring for your pets to fill my need for canine presence and to help your dog receive extra love and have their needs met! What are your pets used to? My yard is fenced and my 2-story home is safe for your pets to roam (both of my staircases are gated should that be a need). If I am coming to your place, you can trust I’ll be on time and give the utmost care to your pup.

Lara is a the BEST pet caregiver! She helped me take care of my dogs while I was at work. She’s always responsible, attentive, and caring. She made sure they were fed, played with, and had plenty of fun. My dogs absolutely loved spending time at her house and always came home happy and tired from all the playtime. I highly recommend Lara to anyone looking for someone loving and trustworthy to care for their pets. SHE ROCKS!!!
Lara is a dog lover and this is apparent in the care she provides for our senior dog. Not only is she extremely reliable and punctual, but she goes above and beyond every time showing our pup extra love. We never have any worries leaving her in Lara's care. 10/10 recommend.
Lara is the first real dog mom I’ve ever known. She is what I aspire to be as a dog parent. She is gentle with affection and firm with commands. She has an intuition with all dogs that reaches far beyond understanding their basic needs. She makes them feel safe and loved in an instant. Although she hasn’t had a pup of her own in many years, she is the go-to human for dog care. Everyone who knows Lara reaches out for dog health and behavioral advice. Above all else, we trust her with everything from dog walking or dog sitting for short stints or longer stays. Lara is reliable and compassionate and would be my number one pick to provide comfort and care to my dog.

Schedule
Beyond volunteering and mom chauffeuring, I am currently open to help you out with your fur babies. I am available most days after 8am, and weekends, for walks and check ins, and live in south Red Deer.
