Beyond volunteering and mom chauffeuring, I am currently open to help you out with your fur babies. I am available most days after 8am, and weekends, for walks and check ins, and live in south Red Deer.

Is your pet a chewer or counter-jumper? How often are they accustomed to going out? How do they sleep? Do you brush or groom your dog regularly?

We’ll get outside for a morning walk - after breakfast settles (or before eating if preferred). I have a short walk route for quickies, and several longer walk alternatives. We can play fetch in my backyard or just lounge in the sun if they’d rather. I have lots of toys if they like search or tug, or bring over their favorite toys. A typical day very much depends on the dog, but if they need extra exercise (or the opposite), I'll accommodate their needs.

I was a dog mom for 20+ years to a Weimaraner and a Husky-Lab cross. My Weimaraner was quite high needs as far as his health - oral meds, eye drops, ear drops, subcutaneous shots, etc. They were the loves of my life! They were the kings of the house, and I took their daily exercise, health and happiness very seriously. Since my weim passed, I have taken in dogs for the short term (from 3 days to 1 week to 1-2 mos.) for friends and neighbors. I’ve also walked and let out dogs for those in need (just not on Rover :)). People tend to call on me because they know how much I adore dogs and trust me to give the utmost care and responsibility for their own furry companions. Through a local foster program, I’ve taken many dogs out for “Doggy Day Out,” where they’ve spent the day with me. On these days, I’ve walked and cared for many dogs with different temperaments and needs. I have 12 and 14 year old girls who are busy with activities. Since they’re occupied, I’d love to spend time caring for your pets to fill my need for canine presence and to help your dog receive extra love and have their needs met! What are your pets used to? What's their schedule? Share your detailed expectations with me, and I'll strive to meet them.

Lara is a the BEST pet caregiver! She helped me take care of my dogs while I was at work. She’s always responsible, attentive, and caring. She made sure they were fed, played with, and had plenty of fun. My dogs absolutely loved spending time at her house and always came home happy and tired from all the playtime.
