So what makes me different? My passion for dog behavior and creating a stable environment means that your dog will always be comfortable in our home. I intently pay attention to their body language to understand and adapt to their needs. My environment is made stable so they feel as comfortable as they can be in a new place. I teach dogs new tricks, or observe your dog and share helpful tips to make your dog(s) happier and more comfortable everywhere they go. All of my client's dogs are treated like my own, they will be loved, treated kindly, and get to roam my house like my dogs do. I'm known in the area for treating dogs who stay at my home so well, that their owners have told me they're sad to not be with me after they leave! Your dog will never pick up bad habits as I am a trainer and have been in the business since I was 13, helping my mom run her business out of our home! We live close to the beach and have two great dogs to play with. Our pack is very stable and we've never had any incidents. Dogs have always been my number one focus, and I am constantly teaching myself more about dog behaviors and breed characteristics. When looking for the best for your pets, look no further! I'm here to provide a stable home environment for owners who would rather avoid the kennel experience when boarding their dogs.

Laney was great! We had a last minute request in a pinch she was able to watch our chocolate lab. She updated us with pictures frequently, and our Hazel just loved spending time with her and her kids and husband. She came home tired and happy which to me is a great sign! We will definitely be using her services again!

Laney is wonderful—so easygoing and welcoming. Stuart immediately assimilated into their family and loved getting snuggles, pets, and play with the whole family. Will 100% be returning :)
Laney took such wonderful care of our dog while we were on vacation. We were nervous having never left him for a full week before. Laney kept us up to date on how Silas was adjusting and sent us frequent photos and updates (which we had asked for). Thank you!
Laney was perfect for us and our dog! She was extremely responsive as we set up our date for Happy's two-day stay, and we enjoyed meeting with her by video beforehand. She was so welcoming to Happy -- and us -- and she clearly loves being with dogs and knows how to put everyone at ease. She did a great job of introducing Happy to her two lovely dogs and to her human family. We were confident that Happy would enjoy herself at Laney's, and she did! We're looking forward to returning to southern Maine soon so Happy can stay with her again!
Laney and her family were great for Duch and I, her other dogs were welcoming and she was very attentive to Duch giving updates throughout the day. We appreciate her and will definitely reach out next time we need help with Duch.

Schedule
I work from home, and it's just myself and my dogs all day, with my young kids and husband around in the morning and evenings.

Safety, trust & environment
I have two female dogs who love to play! My 5 year old loves all dogs and she knows how to treat them kindly, as does my 3 year old. The dogs get full run of the house so they are always with us. We do crate the dogs if we leave for an errand, only if they are the type that chews things when not supervised.
Pets
A typical day
We are constantly out and about with our dogs, your dogs can join us too! Beach walks are a regular occurrence. Leash walks, unless your dog is trained off leash. I currently don't have a fence but that has never negatively impacted a dog's stay with us.
