I am not your typical pet-sitter. I have spent my entire life caring for all types of animals. My first job was at a pet store learning the skills of working with animals and their people. After college I worked as a zookeeper where I cared for everything from mealworms all the way to rhinos. Specialized care was the name of the game there and I was able to recognize the smallest details on how to improve my work with exotics. Then I was led into the world of shelter work. Where I studied pet behavior and early signs of stress and how enrichment can help save lives. Many animals coming into the shelter would need some form of medication as well. I have a skillset of administering medications and making sure the animals actually receive their meds. Lastly, I was a dog training apprentice. I was able to form bonds with dogs that most people wouldn't come near. I can read body language well and know how to show dogs respect. I aim to be your go-to pet-sitter where you can actually enjoy your trip.

I have quite a few pets in my home and all are well cared for. I will offer the same care to the animals you care for. I will ask for detailed instructions and follow your schedule as closely as I can.

Lane took extra good care of my 2 cats over the weekend! She even made an additional, unscheduled visit when I saw them on camera playing with a garter snake. I highly recommend Lane!

I have known Lane for many years and I could not recommend her enough to care for your fur babies! My pets have always been taken great care of by her when needed and I do not have to worry for them while I’m away. You and your pets will not be let down! You may even come home to a dog with new tricks as she has a background in dog training.
Lane has been caring for our pets when we go on vacation for the last 10 years. Lane has done an exceptional job each time ensuring my horse and dogs are well cared for and quality time spent with each pet. Also providing updates while we are gone, allowing us to truly relax while on vacation.
