Availability
I work from home, which gives me flexibility to provide attentive pet care throughout the day, especially during longer stays. Depending on your pet’s needs and routine, I’m able to do walks in the mornings, at lunchtime, after work, and in the evenings, while also spending plenty of time with them during the day. For dog walking and drop-ins, I’m generally available on selected weekdays at lunchtime, every evening after 5pm, most weekends, and during holidays including bank holidays and Christmas.

Safety, trust & environment
I currently provide pet care in the owner’s home, as I believe many pets feel happiest and most comfortable staying in their familiar environment and routine. I always take the time to understand each pet’s usual schedule, personality, and needs to help them feel safe, relaxed, and well cared for while their owners are away. Whether I’m doing drop-ins, walks, or overnight stays, I aim to give pets plenty of attention, companionship, exercise, and consistency. I also keep owners updated with messages and photos for extra peace of mind.
Information Lana W. would like to know about your pet
I like to know a pet’s normal routine, personality, energy levels, and anything that helps them feel safe and settled. Some dogs are very confident and social, while others are more anxious, sensitive, reactive, or simply need a bit more time to trust someone new, so I think those details are really important beforehand. I also like to know about walking habits, recall, feeding routines, medical needs, fears, sleeping arrangements, and anything owners feel would help me understand their pet better. I’d always rather know too much than too little, as it helps me make the experience feel calmer, safer, and more familiar for the pet while their owner is away.
A typical day
I like dogs to feel relaxed and comfortable rather than overstimulated, so I usually focus on keeping their normal routine, giving them attention throughout the day, and making sure they feel settled while their owners are away. Depending on the dog, that might mean a longer walk and playtime outdoors, quiet company while I’m working from home, cuddle time on the sofa, enrichment games, or simply letting them potter around and feel included in the day. I’m especially patient with nervous or sensitive dogs and tend to let them build trust in their own time rather than forcing interaction. My main priority is always that pets feel safe, calm, cared for, and genuinely happy in their environment.

Reliable Care for Happy Pets
Pet care experience
I’ve been around animals since I was young and have experience caring for dogs, cats, and small pets including rescue dogs, hamsters, and budgies. Over the years I’ve provided dog walking, drop-ins, overnight house sitting, and pet care for friends, family, and clients. I have also completed a pet first aid course for extra peace of mind. I’m especially patient with nervous or anxious pets, having spent the last 9 years with my rescue dog who is fearful of people, which has taught me how important calm energy, trust, and routine are. I also have experience caring for cats and understand that every animal has their own personality and needs. I’ve also handled more responsible aspects of pet care when needed, including taking dogs to vet appointments during pet sits, so I’m able to stay calm, attentive, and reliable in different situations. I genuinely love animals and always aim to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away.

Reviews
I have known Lana for several years, and she has looked after my dog Brontë on multiple occasions with great care and responsibility. Brontë is always happy, relaxed, and well looked after when in her care, which gives me complete peace of mind. She is reliable, trustworthy, attentive to Brontë’s needs, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. I would confidently recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable and caring dog sitter.
Lana has helped us with Bella a few times now and she's always been brilliant. Bella is a very lively cocker spaniel and Lana has so much patience with her. She's easy to organise with, turns up when she says she will, and clearly enjoys being around dogs. Bella always comes back happy and settled afterwards which is lovely to see.
Lana is currently doing drop ins and walkies for our Bull mastiff Boo. He’s very energetic and can be bit of a handful but Lana is great in calming him down. She has great experience and lovely energy about her. Boo absolutely adores her and is super excited when he sees her. We are lucky to have someone like Lana to look after him. We’d like to recommend her to anyone who is looking for someone reliable, experienced and kind. Tina & John
Lana has been helping with my dog Coco through walks and daytime visits and she's always reliable, caring and fun She knows how to make Coco feel relaxed and comfortable, she's always happy to see Lana and I've always felt happy and confident leaving Coco in Lana's care I would definitely recommend Lana to anyone looking for a reliable dog walker or sitter
