Animal loving veterinary student!
I am currently a student at the University of Minnesota studying Animal Science and Veterinary Care, and I am looking to gain additional hands-on experience working with animals. Since I am unable to have pets where I currently live, I am excited for opportunities to care for and spend time with companion animals through dog walking and pet sitting. I have experience caring for family pets, as well as working with dogs in a doggy daycare setting. My experience includes feeding, walking, basic training, cleaning, and providing overall daily care. I am passionate about animal care and would love the opportunity to work with more companion animals while continuing to build my experience in the veterinary field. I am dependable, patient, and committed to making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for.

Through my veterinary studies, I have been learning about the basic needs and proper care required for animals, including health, safety, and daily routines. In addition, I have experience dog sitting for family members and working at a doggy daycare, which has helped me better understand the importance of safe, attentive, and compassionate pet care. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I strive to maintain their normal routine as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable and secure. I focus on providing proper exercise, feeding, supervision, cleanliness, and plenty of attention while ensuring their overall safety and well-being.

Schedule
I am currently working part-time and taking the summer off from college, which gives me a more flexible schedule and allows me to dedicate additional time to caring for animals. I am hoping to gain more hands-on experience interacting with pets and would love the opportunity to be available and flexible for new clients and their scheduling needs.

- I do not have a specific breed preference and am comfortable working with a variety of dogs. However, I think it is very important to know ahead of time if a pet has any medical conditions, physical limitations, special needs, or behavioral concerns so I can provide the best and safest care possible. I also appreciate knowing if a dog is reactive to certain situations during walks, such as squirrels, other animals, loud noises, or unfamiliar people, especially if those triggers may cause stress or aggression. Understanding each pet’s individual needs and behaviors helps me create a safer, more comfortable, and positive experience for both the pet and myself.
