I work full-time from home. I own a consulting business, which does keep me very busy during the day. I oftentimes take walks with the dogs while on calls (sometimes for my own mental sanity ha!).

I fully lean into the way you care for your pet on a day to day basis. I don't have any hard or fast rules when it comes to caring for your dog. If they sleep in the bed at home, they will sleep in the bed here. If they don't like long walks, they won't be dragged on a long walk. Whatever you communicate, I respect.

Does your dog have any dietary restrictions? Do they run well on the trail as I am a runner and will bring with me if they run well? If yes, what is their distance? Are they off leash or on leash? Do you have any specific rules at home that you would like to stay the same in my home? Can they sleep in the bed or do you prefer they not?
A typical day
I live in Summit Park, so we have lots of access to trails and great walking paths! I will take your pups along on trail hikes or runs, if you give it the OK. I wake up pretty early, so early riser dogs are fine with me. Your dog will get 2 walks a day. The length and intensity of those walks will entirely depend on your dog (ie: are they are highly active breed or a bit more lowkey). I will base their walk schedule on whatever you typically have them doing at home. If you like your dog to go to Willow Creek dog park, we can do that too as it's just a quick walk/car ride from me!

I am an active, dog lover who very recently ended the adventure of a lifetime with my best friends, Bruce (Jack Russell) & Rudy (Chihuahua). Bruce & Rudy were both rescued by me in 2012. Bruce passed away on Valentine's Day of 2024 and Rudy passed away in June of 2025. Formerly, I had many Rover clients (both repeat and new clients), but I paused all dog sitting and fostering when my 2 boys got old. They enjoyed it while young, but they deserved to live their last years with only the two of them as they aged and needed more rest. I had both of them for nearly 13 years. They were the love of my life. Now, I want to reopen my home to other dogs to give that same love while their families are out of town or at work. Recently, we welcomed a new rescue into our home, a 2.5 year old chihuahua, Nacho. Nacho loves other small dogs (20 lbs or less). Unfortunately, Nacho had a very unfortunate situation happen with a large dog recently. It has caused a lot of fear towards large dogs. So, at this time, we are unable to welcome large dogs in our home for boarding & daycare. I would still LOVE to walk your large dog, though, since he doesn't walk very much and I love walking dogs :) I come with extensive experience with all types of dogs, but I think the most important aspect is I just have so much love for all animals. If your pup stays with us, he/she will also come along for the ride (as long as you say it is OK), wherever we go. As long as they're happy, I'm happy :) During your dogs stay, you will most certainly receive photos! I work from home so your pup will never really be left alone. I cannot wait to meet you & your pups! **Two important notes before you book!** 1. My partner, who is a male (also major dog lover and caretaker) lives in the home. But it is important to disclose this as I know some dogs are more comfortable with women vs men. 2. We own/live in a condo that is not very big. For this reason, I am probably not the best fit for a young, large (55+ lbs), high energy breed. Large, mid-age to older dogs are very content in our home. However, young (0-3) high energy, large breeds may not be the best fit here.

Lamar was amazing and loved having my dog around while I was busy with work while we were in town visiting from Montana. She even took him out with her local running club which was above and beyond! Highly recommend if you ever need an attentive and active dog sitter in Park City!
I can't say enough good things about Lamar. She did a great job. She consistently updated us on our dog's day and sent pictures. As a matter of fact, I think our pup would have rather stayed with her than come home :-). Overall it was a wonderful experience and we won't hesitate to ask Lamar to look after our Ridgeback in the future.
I needed a sitter for Louie last minute, and, gratefully, Lamar responded quickly and was willing to watch him. I’m always sad dropping Louie off with new sitters, but he immediately started wagging his tail when he met Lamar and went with her willingly without even looking back at me. I was able to relax and not worry at all about Louie. From the photos Lamar sent, he clearly felt 100% comfortable and happy. I’ve been looking for a new sitter in Park City since mine moved to FL a few months ago, and I am THRILLED to have found a good one. Super thanks to Lamar—I’ll be reaching out to ask her to watch Louie often!
I’m so thankful I found Lamar, I always trust her to take great care of my pets!! I’d definitely recommend her ☺️
