I have two dogs, a cavapoo (Mouse, 4 years old) and a cockapoo (Remy, 3 years old). I have had them since they were puppies, needing potty breaks every 30 minutes! I’ve taught them to sit, lay down, give a paw, roll over, and ring the bell to go outside. My family have dogs as well, so when we get together I’m used to having five dogs in the house at the same time.

We cannot recommend Laken highly enough. Leaving a beloved 13-year-old husky while traveling for our daughter’s wedding was incredibly hard, but within hours we knew we had found someone truly special. Laken treated Tundra like she was part of her own family. Every day we received thoughtful updates filled with photos, funny stories, and little details that showed she was genuinely paying attention—not just watching her, but getting to know her. She learned Tundra’s personality, celebrated her quirky “woo-woos,” laughed about her following the other dogs everywhere, and even affectionately called her “Old Lady Green Beans.” What impressed us most was how naturally Tundra settled in. She became friends with Laken’s dogs, found her favorite sleeping spots, played with toys, explored the yard, cuddled, and clearly felt safe and loved. As pet parents, there is no greater gift than seeing your dog so comfortable while you’re away. Laken’s communication was exceptional from beginning to end. We never had to wonder how Tundra was doing because she always kept us informed with warmth, honesty, and genuine excitement. It never felt like a business transaction—it felt like leaving Tundra with someone who truly cared about her. We came home to a happy, relaxed dog, and we came home knowing we had found our forever Rover sitter. If you’re considering booking with Laken, do it. Your pet will be loved as if they were her own.

Laken was awesome. We needed a last minute sitter for the day and she was very accommodating. Laken sent pics and kept us informed. Thor came back very happily. I would recommend Laken to anyone.

Schedule
I work from home, so I’m available all day to care for your doggo. I wake up early, around 6:30 each morning to get started on “dog chores” (potty time, breakfast, cuddles, playing ball, etc.) before I start my work day.

For care at my home, Mouse and Remy can’t wait to play with new friends. My husband, our daughter (14), and I will make your dog feel like they’re family. I have a fenced in back yard for exercise and pottying. For care at your home, I will care for your pet the same way you would!

A typical day
We will play toys, get pets, ear scritches, and plenty of attention. I’m happy to throw the ball or play tug til their heart’s content. If they’re more low-key and only want to snuggle on the couch, I’ve got a lap for them.
