Pet care is my primary occupation, along with working from home as a travel advisor, so I spend a lot of time with the dogs that stay with me. Our dog, Kuma, is always up for making new friends! My daily activities are planned around pick-up and drop-off times, so your punctual arrival at the designated times is very important at both drop-offs and pick-ups. If you arrive before your scheduled drop-off or pick-up time, you are welcome to wait on our front porch as I may be on a Zoom call, having a meal with my family, napping, or out running an errand. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late at pick-up time, we might need to reschedule pick-up as I may have an appointment outside of the home. This could add an additional amount to the total due. Thank you!

Please note: *In order to ensure individualized care and attention, I generally only host one dog at a time for boarding or day care. Exceptions can be made for dogs who live together or by special request. *I am not able to host dogs with separation anxiety, pit bulls, or dogs that shed heavily, e.g. Great Pyrenees, Akitas, Huskies, Australian Shepherds, etc. for boarding or day care. *Please park across the street from our house as there is no parking allowed on our side of the street. In our home away from home, your pup will get loving, one-on-one attention from an experienced dog-care provider and lifelong dog owner. Formerly a NYC dogwalker and dogsitter, I've been in Asheville since 2005. My extended family is also in Asheville. Please check my daycare/boarding specifications and calendar availability before sending a booking request. Although my schedule is generally flexible, I do need to have specific drop-off and pick-up times confirmed in advance. I have cared for puppies who were just being housetrained all the way to senior dogs. I have cared for dogs as small as Yorkies and dogs as large as Newfoundlands. I can care for your dog in our North Asheville home conveniently located just one mile from downtown. Our home has a large fenced yard. If your pup stays with us, he/she will ideally be crate trained, but this is not a requirement. Laird took wonderful care of Satchi. She is kind, attentive, and exudes the confidence that comes with experience (which included flawlessly administering his meds). Throughout Satchi’s stay, Laird sent numerous photos and videos that captured him having a great time playing with his new pals, along with others showing him happily relaxed and content. Those updates gave me complete peace of mind and made it clear that Satchi was not only well cared for, but genuinely enjoying himself. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
