Former NYC dogwalker in Asheville!
In our home away from home, your pup will get loving, one-on-one attention from an experienced dog-care provider and lifelong dog owner. Formerly a NYC dogwalker and dogsitter, I've been in Asheville since 2005. My extended family is also in Asheville. Please check my daycare/boarding specifications and calendar availability before sending a booking request. Although my schedule is generally flexible, I do need to have specific drop-off and pick-up times confirmed in advance. My daily activities are planned around these times, so punctuality is critical for both drop-offs and pick-ups. If you arrive before your scheduled drop-off or pick-up time, you are welcome to wait on our front porch as I may be on a Zoom call, having a meal with my family, napping, or out running an errand If you arrive more than 15 minutes late at pick-up time, we might need to reschedule pick-up as I may have an appointment outside of the home. This could add an additional amount to the total due. Thank you! If you are a past client, please ask me about a discounted rate. I am available to care for dogs of any age or size. I have cared for puppies who were just being housetrained all the way to senior dogs. I have cared for dogs as small as Yorkies and dogs as large as Newfoundlands. I can care for your dog in our North Asheville home conveniently located just one mile from downtown. Our home has a large fenced yard. If your pup stays with us, he/she will ideally be crate trained, but this is not a requirement. In order to ensure individualized care, please note that I usually host only one dog at a time for boarding or day care. Exceptions can be made for dogs who live together or by special request. I am not able to host dogs with separation anxiety, pit bulls, or dogs that shed heavily, e.g. Great Pyrenees, Akitas, Huskies, Australian Shepherds, etc. for boarding or day care. Laird is amazing! As a dog mom, I am always nervous. Laird has a great system to introduce dogs to her environment, and she has a genuine love for the dogs she works with. My dogs adore Laird!! Definitely thankful and will use her again!
Laird is a wonderful dog sitter and always takes Jasper on walks, provides great photo updates, and finds other dogs to play with him too!
Tink loved spending the day at Ms. Laird’s. We got several pictures throughout the day and were happy to see her having fun.

Programa
Pet care is my primary occupation, along with working from home as a travel advisor, so I spend a lot of time with the dogs that stay with me. Our dog, Kuma, is always up for making new friends! My daily activities are planned around pick-up and drop-off times, so your punctual arrival at the designated times is very important at both drop-offs and pick-ups.
