I work at an animal shelter through the day and go home to my three kitties. They are almost always nearby when I'm home and I wouldn't have it any other way. I've learned that the animals come first, and their care is always my top priority.

I have a cozy apartment with three friendly cats, right by a big park with lots of room to walk dogs. Their safety and wellbeing is the most important thing to me. I try to give them enrichment with toys they like and the treats they prefer. At work, I care for dogs and cats, as well as small animals, and I try to make the shelter environment as relaxing as possible. I avoid forcing an animal to do something it is uncomfortable doing, instead, I opt for treats, toys, hiding spots, and anything that can make them feel their best.

Let me know if your dog has any history of aggression or biting, or if they have a habit of guarding their food. None of this is an issue, but it helps me to know what to watch out for and how to approach them more carefully. How they are on a leash or around lots of people or other dogs, so I can adjust where we might go for walks. Also, let me know if they have anything that makes them anxious so I can avoid that.

I'm happy to go for walks, long ones if the weather is alright. I can play tug or fetch, do some training to earn some treats, or just give them some cuddles and belly rubs. It depends on what the dog wants to do, and they usually make that pretty clear

I have almost a decade of professional animal care experience. I've worked with many breeds, temperaments, ages, and health conditions. I can administer meds, handle difficult walkers, and even do some basic training. I have bottle-fed pups and given ear drops, you name it I have probably done it. I'm also comfortable with bathing and trimming nails if needed. Aside from that I just love animals, from snakes to border collies I love them all!
