Compassionate and Reliable Pet Care
I’ve had pets for my whole life including multiple dog breeds, cats, lizards, and fish. I have pet-sat for friends and family for a few years and I am excited to start officially working as a pet caretaker! I am currently studying Zoology at UW Madison and I am looking forward to pursuing a career in animal care and rehabilitation.

Great puppy sitter! We got lots of pictures of Ripley snuggling on Laila’s lap. She met him beforehand, and he loved her right away! I will hire her again and again.
I booked a last minute sit in with my pup she was absolutely amazing and sent lots of pictures. I’d trust her any day with my dog.
Laila was great, she kept us in the loop while we were gone for the weekend and took great care of our large dog! She followed her care instructions closely and asked questions, would recommend!
Laila was perfect for our 12 year old dog, Penny. I left many instructions because of Penny's age and anxious personality. Laila followed all instructions perfectly and texted every day to let us know how Penny was doing. I can't say enough how relieved we were leaving our precious Penny with Laila! She was reliable and responsible, but best of all she treated Penny sweetly and like she was her own pup!
Laila was awesome! I am VERY particular with who I would leave the care to for my Chesapeake Bay Retrievers... as all of us pet owners are. So often I pass on fun places to go because I don't want to kennel my dogs. I found Laila to be communicative to let me know how the dogs were doing; i.e. sending me pics and texts periodically. I came home to a neat house and exactly the way I left it and to happy content dogs. I honestly think the dogs missed her when they realized she was gone and "Mom" was home. I cannot recommend her enough... and I know that will probably increase her unavailability for me when I need her, but she gets a 5 star plus plus plus from me... and again I am super particular with who I let walk or watch my dogs. Thank you Laila!
Everything went great with my 2 dogs (1 senior) and cat! I got all sorts of pictures and updates. Senior dogs needed daily meds which went well and my overly snuggly dog got all the snuggles!
Calendar and availability
Schedule
During the summer, I work part time minimally so I will have plenty of time to care for your animals mid-day, overnight, and everything in between! I am at UW Madison when school is in session, but sometimes come back for weekends and I always come back for breaks!
Where your pet will stay
Safety, trust & environment
I do not offer animal care out of my residence, but I will gladly drive the distance to care for your pets inside of your house! I will feed, leash, harness, and kennel animals as requested and bathe and administer medication if appropriate. I can stay as little or as long as you want me to!
Pets
A typical day
I will be able to provide physical exercise (inside or outside) and mental exercises with puzzles and toys. I will reinforce previously taught commands and reward for good behavior and provide plenty of love and attention with cuddles and scratches during downtime in check-in’s as well! If your pet is low-energy, some cuddles and a nap never hurt!
