LaDonna and Chris are both American Red Cross Dog and Cat First Aid Certified. There are plenty of things in life that cause stress & anxiety for you and your pets. Don't let needing to be away from home be one of them. When I meet your dog for the first time, I will let him/her come to me on their own terms. To some people, this may appear that I am not interested in your dog. Please know that I am very interested. I am a HUGE fan of Ceasar Millan. "No touch, no talk, no eye contact" is the way that I will approach your dog or dogs when I meet them. Cats are entirely different. If they are friendly and come around, I will gladly pet and love on them immediately.

Leaving them at home with a sitter is the best solution if you can't take them with you. Their schedule and environment stay the same. While being stressed that you are not there, they are more at ease being at their own home compared to being boarded.

Chris did a wonderful job housesitting and taking care of our pup Bentley. Arriving back after our time away, Bentley seemed happy, healthy and everything appeared to be as it was before we left. We would gladly have Chris watch Bentley once again!
LaDonna is an absolutely wonderful house and dog sitter, and we cannot recommend her highly enough! She is dependable, caring, attentive, and treats our dogs and our home as if they were her own. During our most recent trip, one of our dogs, Sophie, unexpectedly became ill. LaDonna handled the situation with incredible care and responsibility. She was extremely attentive to Sophie, made a special trip to the store to get what she needed, and even worked with our virtual veterinarian while we were out of town. She kept us informed throughout the situation, which gave us tremendous peace of mind while we were away. To make matters even more challenging, our return flights were delayed. Rather than leaving Sophie alone, LaDonna graciously stayed longer to make sure she was comfortable and cared for until we could get home. That level of dedication and compassion means so much to us. LaDonna consistently goes above and beyond, and this experience demonstrated just how trustworthy and dependable she truly is. We feel completely comfortable leaving our dogs and our home in her care, and we know they are in excellent hands. If you are looking for a sitter who is responsible, compassionate, communicative, and willing to go the extra mile when it really matters, we wholeheartedly recommend LaDonna. She is a wonderful sitter and someone we feel very fortunate to have found!

LaDonna was excellent as always with our senior pup Roxy. Roxy becomes very excited when she sees LaDonna approaching the door and is very calm with her too

Schedule
I, LaDonna, am a wife, Mom to 2 human boys, one dog, and four cats. Currently, I am a contract worker with financial institutions as well as running my own business of reselling products. Therefore, my schedule allows me to work from anywhere, so I will be “working from home” at your home. While house-sitting, if your pet's schedule permits, I will go home every couple of days, have dinner with my family, and then return to your home after that. Drop-ins fit nicely into my daily schedule by giving me a reason to get up from my desk, move around, and enjoy the outdoor weather during the day. My husband, Chris, is also certified through Rover. With us working as a team, it allows us to meet the needs of our customers easier. Before joining Rover.com, my experience with other people's animals was something I did for friends while they went on vacation or unexpected time away from home. I understand that you think of your pets as family. The sad thing is that taking them with you may not always be an option. And no matter what the situation looks like when you leave them, you worry about them the entire time you are gone.

- I will learn about the feeding schedule, where the food is located, how much food, exercise schedule, commands they know, behavior with other dogs, and any other things I should know about your pets. I welcome any notes you leave behind. I worked with the City of Collegedale to create the off-leash dog park on the Greenway. I understand that dogs need to be socialized... when they are with you. I will avoid other dogs while on walks. There is no need to introduce situations that could be an issue. There are no breeds that I am afraid of, however, there have been a few dogs that I have been afraid of based on their behavior or their owner's behavior. Both my Husband, Chris, and I have had our background checks thru Rover. This allows both of us to participate in caring for your pets. It will typically be me, LaDonna, but Chris is available to assist.
