I’m back in college finishing my undergrad degree with my eyes set on pursuing a PhD afterward in neuroscience. Rovering is my favorite way to breathe and step away from the books, while helping me afford the textbooks and stay in school 😊 Thank you for considering me to love + care for your fur-babies!

Safety, trust & environment

I understand the trust entailed when leaving your furry family member in another person’s care. I treat yours as I treat mine: with enthusiasm, compassion, and humor. I do my absolute best to provide sensory experiences and play, make sure they know I’m as excited to see them as they are to see me (sometimes more if working with an anxious pup) and show up on time because schedules are important. Details matter and I do everything I can to attend to them, I’ve been known to reserve an outfit only to be worn for that doggo who was extremely anxious about other dog smells. Each client 🐶🐱has my FULL attention; the WHOLE allotted time is dedicated to actively being with YOUR floofer (I do my notes separately in the car) so they never feel like they don’t have my full attention. Transparent and timely communication is everything to me, my philosophy is I’d rather risk “over”communicating rather than an owner feeling like they’re in the dark about their own pupper. Although I’ve never canceled on a client, I do have contingencies in place if an issue were to arise so you aren’t ever stranded. 💛🐾

Information Lacey R. would like to know about your pet

Letting me know if there are favorite activities/toys and about their personality is really helpful. (Any favorite music genres?) Any anxiety or past aggression, vet information, preferred way to communicate is also key to making sure everybody is safe and comfy.

A typical day

How we pass the day largely depends on your fur-baby’s favorite past time activities. Some favorites so far: walks of all speeds, 1 mile runs, hide and seek, classic fetch (sometimes I’m the one fetching), tug of war, and splashing around in a puppy-pool. Sometimes there’s extra energy to get out and weather isn’t cooperating, in those situations I’ve made sensory boxes, “sniff + find” treasure towels and more.

Pet care experience

I LOVE getting to know each fur-baby’s personality and cues! Whether creating a playlist for our next visit or incorporating sensory variations, each furry-one has their own personality that deserves to be seen and loved as an individual. With a focus on overnight care (housesitting) your puppers’ (or kitten-cats’) schedule is my top priority while ensuring that when you arrive home you’re ready to walk back into “real life”. By my paying attention to details you never have to worry about coming home to a fridge of moldy food or rotten fruit on the counter … I even make sure you have fresh coffee creamer and milk upon your arrival back. I have a special place in my heart for rescued and/or anxious doggos, my own pup being a rescue with separation anxiety. Some understanding, empathy and kindness goes a long way helping them feel safe + secure 🐾💛

Lacey is incredible! Great communication and love the pics while she’s hanging with Oliver. Never thought we would find someone who would take the time, patience & love to earn Oliver’s trust … but we found that in Lacey ❤️
