Calling all couch potatoes!
I only accept small dogs and only 2 at once other than my 2. Your dogs will be encouraged to snuggle on the big leather couches and grab a nap or watch some TV. We have a doggie door with a very secure backyard. We have no stairs, pet friendly furniture and lots of love to give. Our dogs are medium/low energy who especially like TV and naps on the couch. Our house is quiet and the perfect place for your older or calm dog to catch up on sleep and not have 10 other dogs driving them crazy. I have lots of dog beds in every room and baskets of toys. Your dog can sleep with us in the big bed or grab a dog bed on the floor, it will be their choice. Let’s chat if you have questions - all questions are welcome! I've had my own dogs for 25 years. I've done rescue, babysat dogs, and taken care of many dogs at various stages of their life. Most recently both of our senior dogs passed away then we adopted Zoey, a cool little terrier and Jesse, a 10 year old dachshund. They are a blast and love other dogs. It will be fun to give your dogs great care in our home. I work from home every day except Tuesday mornings. Other than that, your dogs will have someone available to wait on them hand and paw.

I found Lacey on Rover when our usual dog sitter was unavailable, and I’m really glad I did. From the start, she impressed me with her attention to detail and clear love for dogs. We met at her home before the overnight stays, and I felt confident that Oreo would be well taken care of. Throughout the day, Lacey provided updates and photos of Oreo, which reassured me while I was away. While our previous sitter was good, Lacey truly went above and beyond. She has definitely become our go to sitter. I highly recommend her!

Lacey was absolutely amazing with my pup! I have an older pup who has accumulated his own quirks and preferences over the years and this was our first time leaving him in the care of someone other than family, so we were quite worried. However, Lacey cared for him as if he was her own pup, even hand-fed him when he wasn't eating. She frequently sent updates and sweet pictures of my pup, which we really appreciated! It definitely put our hearts at ease knowing he was being cared for so well.
Lacey did an amazing job with our dog! She was so sweet to her!

Schedule
I'm a professional software programmer who lives in Cypress Grove neighborhood. I work from home and have time to help out my neighbors with giving dogs great care while you travel.

Safety, trust & environment
I am very careful about making sure dogs are leashes/harnessed before leaving for walks. I double check everything for safety and make sure the concrete isn't too hot before going to walk. During the super hot temperatures of the summer, I will not take your dog for a walk until the pavement cools down for the safety of their feet. We can play in the yard with a ball or some other safe exercise.
Pets
A typical day
I like the walking trail on Cypress Grove. It has no traffic and a decent trail for walking but it’s still close enough to home incase of emergency. Your dog might sit in on a Zoom call while I work from home. On a break, we can play ball in the house or go for a walk. I can give constant supervision because I work from home. Usually dogs like to grab a dog bed in my home office and nap during my boring work day. Otherwise they can help themself to the yard via the doggie door or enjoy baskets of toys.
