Day Care, Boarding, and Dog Walking

Hello! My name is Lacey Ellsworth. I have been a rover sitter since 2020. But I have been watching pets for people since I was five years old. My first gig was with a big fat Calico cat named "Meow Meow Kitty-Poo." I have a 1300 sq. ft. home with a good-sized backyard with a small lawn. Notes on Boarding: There is always someone home. My husband helps a lot with the dogs as he works from home and the dogs spend a lot of time with him in the office which has direct access to the backyard. I watch one dog at a time, unless the family has two dogs, because I want to focus my care on that family's pup like it was my own. I've found I enjoy my work that way. The dogs sleep in the office at night alone, so if your pooch is used to sleeping in bed with you or near your bed, I may not be a good fit. Notes on walks: I will walk your dog rain or shine, 30 below or over 110 degrees. (If the pavement is hot, I recommend booties. Usually, paws are okay on concrete but not the road in the summer. I schedule my walks, depending on the day, at 6am, 9am, or 12pm. Notes about drop-in visits: I price my drop-ins cheap because I plan on feeding and watering your dog or cat and cleaning the litter box. I don't linger. I'm in and out in less than 15 minutes. If you want your pooch to receive more attention, book a walk and specify what you'd like me to do while spending time your furry one. To ensure the highest quality of care: Serve one family of dogs per stay. 60 lb. or less. Complimentary shampoo bath. 2-year-old dogs and up. Comfortable sleeping in a crate or in a bedroom alone.

We were so lucky to book with Lacey! She took care of Lady like she was her own dog. Lady has a lot of energy and they took her on daily runs, walks and backyard playtime. She was very easy to communicate with & was so gracious when we had travel issues. Highly recommend

Lacey was so great and took such good care of our dog, Ozzy! She quickly responded and sent frequent updates. We felt very comfortable leaving our baby in her care and will definitely be using her services again!

I always like to schedule a meet and greet before my first walk or day care booking. I love getting to know the dogs and their owners. I'm partial to Dachshunds, pugs, and hypoallergenic dogs like Yorkies and Maltese. I like watching multiple dogs from the same family, they help each other feel familiar. I have a young daughter (born in 2020) who loves dogs. I don't let her play with them hands-on, but I'd still like to have dogs who are okay with kids. I want the dog to be free of fleas or ticks for obvious reasons. I also want to know about any kind of anxieties the dog may have (separation anxiety, sirens, other dogs, being outside alone, etc.) Is your dog okay being left in the backyard? I like to utilize my backyard and have the dogs stay outside when the weather is nice. Are they potty trained? I won't let a dog inside my home if they aren't, but I'll still watch them if they're okay staying outside.
