I am an animal lover without a pet of my own (thanks to lots of moving and travel). That said, I have been caring for furry friends on and off since high school. For the past three years, I’ve been the go-to caretaker for a friend’s cat in DC—and I never pass up a chance to walk a dog!

I tend to care more about others than myself (sometimes to a fault!), so when I am looking after your pet in your home, they will have my attention. I like to work in the same room as them whenever possible or check in regularly during breaks. If I’m dog sitting, you can count on them getting proper walks and plenty of attention. I always make sure they’re eating well and won’t hesitate to reach out if something seems off—better safe than sorry!

Kyra is super friendly and interactive with my pup. I appreciated her taking the time to do a meet and greet before scheduling a booking (which we’ve booked more since then), and she was very good at asking questions to make sure Cora would be cared for properly as well as communicating effectively regarding her schedule. Kyra is trustworthy, reliable, personable, and wonderful with Cora. So glad I found her!
Kyra house sat our German shepherd for a week and did an excellent job. She handled feeding, walking, communication, etc. very well. I think we're relatively picky, so if you're like us and worry about booking the wrong sitter we'd recommend Kyra. We would definitely book with her again.
Kyra took wonderful care of my cat! She followed all the instructions I left for her to a T. She communicated effectively and was very responsive. She also went above and beyond by helping me get my automatic litter box unstuck to make sure my cat could use it later. I am very happy with her service and absolutely recommend her!
Kyra is a great cat and dog sitter. She is reliable, caring and spends a ton of time with my pets. Kyra has done several overnights with us. When my cat had an injury, she was able to administer meds to my cat, Macy, while I was away. I highly recommend Kyra!
Kyra has been my go-to cat sitter for the last two years! She takes great care of my temperamental orange tabby - Scout. She always gives him play time and cuddles, and makes sure he has food and his litter box is clean. She’s so kind, and I can tell Scout is really comfortable with her. On longer trips, Kyra was great about taking down litter trash as needed. She’s very communicative, and always sends photos or videos. She also was calm when Scout had some stomach issues one trip. She kept us posted on how he was doing, and while she didn’t need to take him to the vet, she was ready to, if the situation changed. I’d highly recommend Kyra for cat sitting!

Schedule
I work a hybrid schedule—usually in the office just two days a week and at home the rest. With a pretty flexible (and relaxed!) work environment, I can often adjust my schedule with enough notice. So if I am staying in your home to care for your pet, will not be a problem to remain home caring for them.
