Hi! My name is Kyra Sims. I’m a psychology grad from Nicholls State University. I have had pit bulls and one chihuahua before leaving home for school. I now have a 2 year old lab mix. I am not a certified vet tech or groomer but I’m very energetic and friendly. I am also very independent and take my jobs seriously. I understand the love between a pet and their owner is just as strong as that of family. Every pet deserves the very best and I will strive to be that best.

I do not offer boarding services at my home but for clients homes I make sure to meet the pets before I sit just to make sure I can get clear instructions on the best way to care for the pet.

Kyra was absolutely wonderful taking care of our sweet Aspen while we were away! 🐱💕 She was incredibly reliable, attentive, communicative, and followed all of our care instructions perfectly. She kept us updated throughout the entire trip, which gave us so much peace of mind knowing Aspen was safe, comfortable, and getting plenty of love and attention. It’s obvious Kyra genuinely cares about the animals she looks after, and we felt completely comfortable trusting Aspen and our home to her care. Kyra did a great job house sitting for me! My dog absolutely loved her. Not only did she take great care of my pup while I was out of town, she also sent pictures daily and answered right away any time I messaged her. Highly recommend!

Schedule
I am out of school for about a month so my schedule is almost completely open until mid January. Normally I’m a part time employee full time student at Nicholls.

- It’s important that I know about any health issues, diet issues, or behavior issues. I’m not Adrain’s of dogs at all so behavior issues really don’t bother me but I prefer to be aware ahead of time. I sat for two rescue dogs at one time and the owner made me aware that one of the dogs did not like to be touched by strangers and of the dog ever shows any aggression I should clap and Bah at the dog. By the end of the week both dogs would walk up and rub against my legs and let me pet them for small amounts of time.
