I am currently taking online classes over the summer, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to be available throughout the day for walks, drop-in visits, pet sitting, and overnight care.

My priority is always providing a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment for pets. I live on 12 acres in a quiet setting and have one small, very friendly Cocker Spaniel. While my yard is not fenced, pets are always supervised outdoors and can be kept on long leads for safe exercise and exploration when appropriate. I never allow pets off-leash unless specifically instructed by the owner and it is safe to do so. When caring for pets in a client's home, I follow their established routines as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, and any special instructions. I make sure pets receive plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship while keeping their environment clean and secure. I understand that trust is important when someone is caring for a beloved pet, so I maintain open communication and provide regular updates and photos. I also pay close attention to each pet's behavior and needs to ensure they are happy, comfortable, and well cared for throughout my time with them.

I also like to know how pets behave around new people, other animals, and during walks so I can keep them safe and comfortable at all times. Any information about preferred activities, exercise level, or comfort habits helps me tailor my care to each individual pet. My goal is to follow the owner’s instructions closely so the pet’s routine stays consistent and stress-free while they are in my care.

A typical day is centered around maintaining each pet's normal routine while making sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. Depending on the pet's needs and energy level, our day may include walks, playtime, outdoor time, fetch, enrichment activities, and lots of cuddles. I enjoy spending quality time with pets and making sure they feel comfortable and cared for while their owners are away. For more active dogs, I can provide longer walks and interactive play sessions to help them burn energy. For senior pets or those who prefer a calmer environment, I am happy to spend time relaxing with them, providing companionship and sticking to their usual schedule. Throughout the day, I make sure pets have fresh water, regular potty breaks, meals according to their routine, and plenty of love and attention.

I have over 5 years of pet-sitting experience and have had dogs my entire life, giving me extensive hands-on experience caring for dogs of various breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities. Kyra is very conscientious, which was evident in the meeting she arranged prior to dog-sitting for us. She wanted to be prepared to keep our dog’s routine and keep him happy. This was the foundation for a great experience that left me confident our dog was well cared for and got extra snuggles while we were away.
Kyra has helped me several times over the past 7 years. She has always been responsible and reliable but more than that she truly cares about pet. She has always had a heart of love and compassion for animals and would sit for hours just petting my dog Lyla. My dog was diagnosed with lymphoma in early December and Kyra made it a special Christmas caring for my sweet dog. Kyra would be a true asset to anyone looking for someone to help with their pets.
