Pet care experience

I'm a Disney Princess, but for Pets

Howdy y'all, I’m the kind of sitter who doesn’t just “watch” pets—I join the pack. I’ve given insulin to a diabetic cat (who still liked me afterwards—huge win), juggled a household of 4 cats, 2 dogs, and a school of fish without losing track of whose dinner was whose, and I somehow manage to wrangle dogs that outweigh me (yes, even the Saint Bernard, the Great Dane, and my friend’s Bernese Mountain Dog who I have in my care on the regular). I may be small, but I’m mighty when it comes to keeping pets happy, safe, and loved. I believe every pet deserves care that feels like family, whether that’s belly rubs, medications, or simply someone who doesn’t mind sharing the couch with a snuggly (or slobbery) best friend.

Kyra was great! She kept up with my pups high energy and made sure he came back tired. She was very lenient when it came to drop off and pick up times. This was a last minute booking and she answered right away and was happy to take my pup. She sent us videos and kept us updated. Great experience!

Kyra was amazing! I got videos of her, taking them for walks and them snuggling and playing with her very good dog. They are very well taken care of in good hands with her.

Kyra is always there when our pets need a great sitter. She is a true pet lover and she loves our pets as her own!

Kyra did an absolute fantastic job watching my pets. She has helped my family out a few times, and every time we come home, we are beyond satisfied with how happy our critters are! I cannot recommend her enough.

Kyra is one of the best people I know to watch a dog or any other animal. She is very responsible when it comes to taking care of dogs, giving them tons of attention that they need and letting them get their energy out. She cares for dogs a whole lot too which is another reason as to why I would personally choose her to be a person to watch my dog and have no worries about it whatsoever. I’ve know her for about 3 years and in that time she has more than shown her love and passion for taking care of dogs. She is an easy pick to choose to watch your animal and I would choose her in a heartbeat.

Calendar and availability

Schedule

I currently just moved back to Oshkosh for the year to go back to classes at UW-Oshkosh (nursing student). This semester is weird - I am only taking one class (Monday's and Friday's 0730-0830 am), so I have A LOT of free time to give your family member all the lovings they need while you're away!

Safety, trust & environment

Your pet’s comfort and safety are always my top priority. My home is set up to feel like theirs—our open living room, cozy couch, big chair, and even my bed are all dog-approved cuddle spots. Right outside is a large open yard and the river walk trail for fresh air and adventures. Inside, I keep everything tidy and safe—no choking hazards or inedible things lying around—so pets can relax, play, and explore without worry. I want every pet to feel secure, cared for, and completely at home with me.

Pets

A typical day

10:00 AM – Bark & Networking at the Dog Park We hit the local park for a few hours of mingling. Think speed dating, but with more drool and fewer awkward silences. Your pup will make at least 3 new best friends and 1 sworn nemesis before lunchtime. 12:00 PM – Beach Time & Paw-dicures Sunscreen for me, paw-dips for them. We tan, we splash, we chase seagulls like it’s a full-contact sport. Snacks will be stolen. Wet dog smell will happen. Memories will be made. 2:00 PM – Farmers Market Field Trip Because your pets deserve community vibes too. We sniff local cheeses, sample veggies (some on purpose, some not), and politely decline when your dog tries to “volunteer” as the new bread-tasting mascot. Rainy Day Backup Plan – Puzzle Olympics If the weather’s gross, we break out enrichment toys and brain games. Spoiler alert: I usually lose. Your dog becomes a Yale graduate; I’m left wondering how I got outsmarted by someone who eats crayons. Winter Bonus Round – Snowman Smackdown Seasonal event! We build majestic snowmen, then immediately destroy them in a coordinated canine strike. (Don’t worry, Frosty knew what he signed up for.) 6:00 PM – Sunset Stroll Serenade We close the day with a walk along the river. Romantic sunset, light breeze, me loudly singing custom jingles about how cute your pet is while they ignore me and sniff dead leaves. Pure magic. By bedtime, your pet is tired, happy, and plotting tomorrow’s adventures.

Give me any and all info that will keep me from accidentally starring in a National Geographic special called “When Pets Attack” while also keeping your pet happy, healthy, and living their best life. Any and all info includes... the basics (food, meds, unique routines), the quirks (triggers, fears, distractions), the red flags (their major dislikes, allergies, chewing liabilities), any risk of an escape artist on my hands, and the "do not attempt" list. I want to be fully prepared to make your baby's stay the best home away from home as it can be for them.
