I am a pre-veterinary student majoring in Wildlife with 9 years of experience caring for pets, including friends’ and family’s dogs, cats, rabbits, reptiles, and guinea pigs. I grew up with two dogs, a papillion (Ivy) and zuchon (Luna). This taught me valuable skills from a young age, such as importance of responsibility and communication when handling animals in difficult or confusing situations. I worked at the Potawatomi Zoo during the Summer of 2025, where I helped care for a variety of animals, keep everything clean, and prepare diets! It was an incredibly rewarding experience to build relationships with both the keepers and many of the animals. I am a committed volunteer at Pet Refuge and Natalie’s Second Chance, where I assist with walking dogs, providing enrichment activities, feeding, and general shelter upkeep. I have worked with both young and senior dogs, and small and large dogs. I am committed to specific shifts each week and always communicate ahead of time when my schedule changes/a conflict comes up. As your pet’s caregiver, I will be honest and open with you, ensuring a positive experience for everyone. I also have ten years of experience caring for rescue horses and large animals—this has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my animal career as I first hand witnessed their confidence grow in a new environment. I worked in physically demanding situations where I became more independent and tackled several responsibilities. I provide attentive care by following the owner’s instructions closely, ensuring pets are fed, exercised, and happy! I maintain a clean environment and offer lots of love and attention to keep pets comfortable.
