Hi there! I am a passionate animal lover who understands that the special bond created with our dogs is unlike any other, so we always want them in the care of someone we can trust. I endeavor to be a calm, friendly, and confident handler with a focus on enrichment and positivity, who is dedicated to developing an engaging and trusting relationship with your pup. I have been working professionally with dogs for nearly 10 years and am a certified in Animal Care. I am comfortable working with any size, age, temperament, or breed of dog, and I have experience working with puppies, seniors, groups, and reactive dogs. Helping families provide their beloved pups with as much enrichment and happiness as possible is my ultimate goal and my lifelong calling.

Safety, trust & environment
Your pet's safety is my top priority. Your pup will always be on leash when on a walk, I can also use backup collars (with owner's permission of course) with my contact information in addition to the collar or harness provided, as an added security in case of slip outs or breaks. I am very aware of my environment and strive to never put your dog in an uncomfortable or fearful situation. I will always advocate for your dog's physical and mental well-being.

Shawna is the perfect cat sitter. After coming back from a 35 day trip my place was spotless. My kitty is happy, weights the same and all my plants are fine and pretty. Let her look after your pet and you won't be disappointed
Shawna has been absolutely wonderful and professional. We feel so at ease leaving Pablo with her for the hour, as she makes sure to take extra care in walking, caring, feeding, and playing with him. While this was only our first time with Shawna, it certainly wouldn't be our last.

Schedule
Outside of my work with dogs, I am a full-time homemaker. This leaves me with ample availability to come and walk your pups! I am not at all scared of the weather, rain or shine, I will be there to walk your dog. However, I will discuss shorter walks on days that are particularly hot or cold or severe storms (depending on breed) to ensure your pup's safety.

- Knowing how they respond to different stimuli, such as people, sounds, vehicles, and other animals while on the walk. This is especially imporant if there is something they are fearful of, or reactive towards. Equally as important, is knowing what your pup loves! What motivates them? What's their favourite reward or game? Also include any and all information that you think is important to properly care for your four-legged family member, no detail is too small.
