Highlights
Pet care experience
caring adult, dog whisperer
I will treat your fur kid as well as I treated mine. (Both mini-Schnauzers are now deceased.) S/he will get play time or pet time, be adored & trained enough to be make you proud in public. My fur kids were with me since each were puppies. Learning to adapt their daily routines to each ones age and energy, although, difficult, teaches patience and flexibility. As I did for mine, I would try to keep your fur kid on his/her normal routine, as much as possible to reduce stress or anxiety. Additional experience: Have previously volunteered as a dog walker for the Humane Society. I've also pet sat for a "bitey" dog (had PTSD), cats in Fiji, and even chickens. I am comfortable being the adult and administering medications, when needed, even if s/he does not want them. I also love the playfulness of puppies and kittens. Pets are people, too. :)
Qualifications
Ratings and reviews
Used for the first time. Was thorough in asking necessary questions to take care of three very different dogs. Was conscientious. Would use again.

Thank you so much for caring for Pickles! She definitely had a great time and you were so accommodating to our plans and schedule!!

I highly recommend Kym! If you need a dog walker or pet sitter, look for further!!! I've known Kym since she moved to Reno, and I've seen what kind of person she is with animals (and people). She genuinely cares and is one of the most responsible, loving people I know. I'm certain she will give the best care possible to any animals she cares for. I've seen her with her own dogs, and she's such a great dog owner. She's also athletic, knows all the best trails, loves the outdoors, and that's very important when walking dogs! I'm a life long dog owner, and I wouldn't hesitate to leave my dog in her care. As you probably know, dogs are great judges of character, and my dog Max loved her.
Calendar and availability
Schedule
Since I'm currently working from home & studying online, puppy potty breaks would be welcome. It's a great excuse, er, reminder to enjoy the world.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
At my place, the doors are always locked. Leashes go on before the door opens and unclipped after the door closes behind. I've never lost an animal, yet. :)
A typical day
Try to maintain your pets' normal routine & exercise routes and times. Being with a new person can be scary enough and too much excitement may illicit an unusual or unexpected behaviour.
