I grew up in a household where my grandmother was a licensed animal rehabilitation specialist who cared for injured and orphaned wildlife. Being raised around her work gave me the opportunity to learn from an early age how to safely and patiently interact with animals with different needs, personalities, and temperaments. I became familiar with the importance of proper feeding, cleaning, sanitation, observation, handling, and maintaining consistent care routines. I also grew up caring for and living alongside a variety of domestic animals, including cats, dogs, and reptiles.
