Pet care experience

Lover of all furr babies.

I’ve taken care of and loved on animals for years tending to health needs as well as training and grooming needs. I enjoy bonding with animals and the joy of having fun with them and watching them interact with each-other and the world around them. I cannot imagine a life without furr babies all around me.

Our dog absolutely adores Kylie and her family! She doesn’t even turn around to say goodbye after drop her off. Kylie takes wonderful care of our golden retriever, and we feel very grateful to gave found someone we can continuously trust with the care of our dog. I highly recommend her and will continue to send our sweet pup to her!

This is our second time we’ve used Kylie and she does great! I think she gets more love and attention here than home. It’s so nice to be able to leave and not have to worry your fur baby is well taken care of.

Schedule

I am a wife, mom and nurse. I homeschool my daughter 👩🏽‍🏫. I currently board as well as groom dogs✂️🛁🪮 and do some training as well. Love hobbies! I have a tight schedule but I always try to make things work especially for my return fur babies. Pet peeves: please do not show up late with no heads up that you’ll be late. Me and Hubby cannot be late for our shifts or other appointments and responsibilities due to lack of planning or communication. Late for arranged drop off or pick up time with no communication may result in cancellations with little to no warning and or additional charges for extra services rendered to accommodate our prearranged availability. Please be considerate. I am happy to do meet n greets around my husbands work schedule (law enforcement) so he is present for safety. 🥰 (Please note: We generally avoid having clients enter and tour our home at pick up or drop off as it may get other clients (both grooming or boarding) dogs/puppies anxious or riled up unnecessarily with strangers coming and going. This can be chaos for not only our family but the fur babies as well. 🐶🐱 Properly and individually introducing new people to each of our pets is the way we like to do home tours as this is their domain and safe space. We always have 2 doodles, 2 pugs and 2 cats present and may have up to 2 more dogs we are sitting or additional grooming clients (whether actively secured on the grooming table or waiting to be groomed). I am happy to arrange a brief tour of the main area of our house (where we board and groom) if requested and scheduled for our animals comfort. Pictures of animals in their sitting environment are provided on request and when feasible for us. If this is problematic please consider this prior to requesting a booking. Thank you!) I cannot schedule outside of Rover due to the need for tax records, overseeing/ insurance of payments, as well as the insurance that Rover provides over the sweet animals in my care through Rover. ❤️ If you want to have your pet groomed during their stay, please send me your email with a request for the services and pricing/discount document that contains all of that information.

Safety, trust & environment

I do not allow anyone to open my gate and enter my fence without me there for the safety of everyone including visitors, my own pets and those I am responsible for. Visitors/clients should wait at the gate to ensure I have crated any dogs that may be inside my gate - some may be inside the gate and on the other side of my house out of sight. Even if you are ok with being jumped on, I’m not ok with having unnecessarily stressful or uncontrolled situations that involve animals in my care. Please respect the boundaries during your drop/of or pick/up. 🙂 when you arrive please shoot me a text to notify me. If I know ahead of time that you’re 15 min out I can use that time to crate any pups that need to be crated and to have your pet outside to potty, packed and ready for a smooth pick up. 😄 I have a fenced in large front yard (because I have doodles that like to run around) and we have a large covered outdoor kennel as well as large indoor crates to help separate dog for feeding, and crating purposes as needed. If I need you to bring your pups crate I’ll let you know. I do not do long stays in crates and if a pup can be out and with us in a bedroom at night, I allow dog bed at bedside sleeping unless owner prefers overnight crating. Please bring your pups: bed or blanket if used, favorite toy, treats, dog food, bowls (metal or plastic if possible) and any medications they may need. Environment Note: We are in the middle of renovation of this home and doing small isolated projects at a time. While there are no hazards to pups in boarding/grooming areas, we will keep a post of what our current projects are: - 🚜 laying our driveway and walkway. - 🌸🌺🌷planting flowers around fence Boarding services will be put on hold in fall/winter season 🍁☃️2025 for flooring remodel

Pets

A typical day

I ensure dogs have adequate time outside (whether leashed or unleashed) and pair dogs that get along. If dogs do not get along, they will have split outside time or be leashed for a separate walk. Dogs with any aggression issues whether with people, other animals or food related are not a good fit for our home as we are unable to safely meet those needs. I do not muzzle. I do not leash certain breeds around the neck for safety (pugs, frenchies). I do not leave dogs outside unattended or in the heat and keep a special eye on breeds at higher risk for overheating. Unpottytrained dogs and dogs in heat are welcome with diapers that i am happy to tend to while me and the pup work on potty training. Destructive dogs are crated indoor and outdoor outside of one on one playtime to prevent property damage but will be just as well tended to. Cats that do not claw furniture (or are claw capped) are welcome as I have plenty of scratchers and toys. Cats are kept away from pups and are free to roam indoors. As far as fun typical activities, I enjoy working with my dogs to keep up and further their training during the day as it keeps them active. I trained my doodle who passed his AKC good citizenship test which is accomplished through basic and advanced training. I believe there is no better way to built trust with a dog than to train together!

Kylie can host up to 4 pets per night
Does your pet have: 1) Special needs and if so what are they (medications needed, disabilities, etc.) 2) Aggression issues with food, other animals or people 3) Anxiety - known coping mechanisms 4) issues with destruction of property (scratching, digging (into floors or holes throughout the yard), biting) NOTE: I will May need to make special arrangements to accommodate for these behaviors and must know ahead of time or may decline at drop off. Please do not bring aggressive dogs. I have children here as well as animals. Dogs displaying aggression towards humans will need to be immediately picked up by owner. Stay up to the evening of the day aggression was shown will be non-refundable. Dogs showing aggression towards other animals will have special accommodations to keep them separated and comfortable away from triggers. Please ensure that your fur babies are up to date on their vaccines and on their flea treatments. I know that fleas can be difficult to control but please consider this before allowing the spread! Any pups with fleas will need to be kept in an outdoor kennel until pick up and may not return without treatment. Real talk yall: My pups are all medicated internally against fleas. We don’t want fleas in our home or furniture. We have 2 inside only cats that we don’t medicate because they are inside only and I very much don’t want to go through the cost or struggle of treating my home or my cats because of fleas brought in by other owners pups. $25 a day doesn’t cover that. I have compassion for owners and their pups so please have compassion for me and mine. Pleaseeeeeee check your babies before bringing them to mingle with mine.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
