Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I already spend a lot of time caring for my own dogs. I’m used to maintaining feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and making sure pets get the attention and care they need throughout the day. Since I’m organized and good at managing my time, I’m flexible and dependable for drop-in visits or walks during the week! I enjoy staying active, so taking dogs on walks or spending time playing with them is something I genuinely enjoy. Whether it’s sticking to a pet’s normal routine or giving extra attention when needed, I make sure every pet feels comfortable, safe, and cared for.

Safety, trust & environment
When caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I always focus on making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I understand how important routines are for pets, so I make sure to follow feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and any specific instructions provided by the owner. I also pay close attention to a pet’s behavior and comfort level to help reduce stress while their owner is away. I have experience caring for both large and small dogs through my own pets, a German Shepherd/Poodle mix and a Maltese/Yorkie, so I’m comfortable handling different energy levels and personalities. I keep environments clean, calm, and pet-friendly, and I always prioritize safety during walks, outdoor time, and interactions. My goal is to make every pet feel at home and give owners peace of mind, knowing their pets are in caring, dependable hands.
Information Kylie N. would like to know about your pet
Before caring for any pet, it’s important for me to understand their routine, personality, and any special needs they may have. I always like to know details such as feeding schedules, dietary restrictions, allergies, medications, and any health conditions so I can make sure they stay safe and comfortable. I also need to know about their behavior and temperament, including how they do with new people, other animals, or on walks. It’s helpful to know their energy level, favorite activities, and any triggers, such as anxiety, storms, or separation stress. If there are any training commands they know or house rules they follow, I make sure to continue those consistently. My goal is always to make the transition as smooth as possible so pets feel secure and owners feel confident that their pets are in good hands.
A typical day
A typical day of pet care for me is structured, active, and focused on keeping pets happy and comfortable. I start by following their normal routine, including morning potty breaks, feeding, and making sure they’re settled and relaxed. From there, I make sure they get plenty of attention and interaction throughout the day so they don’t feel lonely or anxious. I like to keep pets engaged with fun activities like walks, playtime in the yard, fetch, tug-of-war, and mental stimulation games depending on their energy level. Since I have experience with both a German Shepherd/Poodle mix and a Maltese/Yorkie, I’m comfortable adjusting activities for high-energy dogs as well as smaller or more relaxed pets. I also make sure they get plenty of breaks, water, and rest time so they stay balanced and comfortable. Throughout the day, I keep a close eye on their behavior and needs, and I always aim to make them feel safe, loved, and at home while their owner is away.

Pet care experience
I’ve always had a strong love for animals and experience caring for pets with different personalities, sizes, and needs. I currently own a German Shepherd/Poodle mix and a Maltese/Yorkie, so I’m very comfortable handling both high-energy dogs and smaller breeds that need extra attention and care. Caring for my own dogs has taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and making pets feel safe and comfortable. What sets me apart is that I truly treat every pet like family. I understand that every animal has their own routine, personality, and comfort level, and I take the time to make sure they feel loved and cared for while their owners are away. I’m experienced in walking, feeding on schedule, providing playtime, administering basic care, and giving pets plenty of attention and affection. I’m also comfortable with puppies that need extra patience and energy, as well as with older dogs that may need a calmer, gentler approach.
Reviews
Kylie watched my Great Dane for me while I was on a golf trip. She did a fantastic job taking care of the Lilly who is a little high maintenance! When I got home she was happy and in great spirits so good in fact, I think she wished Kylie would stay and continue to hang out with her. Joel Walters
Kylie loves animals of all sizes from tiny to giants! She is compassionate and very competent in handling them. The animals feel safe and enjoy her as well! She would make a great companion for your pet!
Kylie is excellent with pets. I highly recommend her for anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and reliable pet caregiver. They took excellent care of my pet and made the entire experience stress-free from start to finish. They were attentive to my pet’s needs, provided regular updates and photos, and clearly treated my pet like family. I could tell my pet felt comfortable, happy, and well cared for while I was away. Kylie is dependable, communicative, and genuinely passionate about animals. I would absolutely book with them again and confidently recommend them to anyone looking for quality pet care.
I would recommend Kylie ANY DAY to take care of my fur baby Gunner. I’ve personally known her for almost 14 years and have trusted her with multiple dogs and my horses back in the day as well. She has the kindest heart and is ever so patient too. Again she would be an awesome addition to your Rover Team!!
