I work for myself, so I have a flexible schedule and spend a lot of time at home throughout the week. Your dog will not be left alone for long stretches of time and will be part of our normal daily rhythm, including walks, outdoor time, play, cuddles, and relaxing at home. We are a calm, loving family with two kids who genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs. Benny loves having dog friends around, and we enjoy creating a home environment that feels relaxed, welcoming, and engaging for dogs who enjoy companionship, affection, and structure.

Safety, trust & environment

We have a large fenced backyard with plenty of space for dogs to run, play, explore, and potty comfortably. Inside the home, we have flexible spaces depending on your dog’s needs, including a tiled basement level for play and movement and a kitchen area that can be separated from the rest of the home for puppies or dogs still working on potty training. We also have Benny, our mini Goldendoodle, who loves other dogs and helps provide companionship and socialization throughout the day. If your dog is crate trained or needs structure overnight or while we briefly step away, we can absolutely accommodate that. We have multiple options available, including crate setups in our large bedroom for added comfort and supervision. Safety, supervision, and helping your dog feel comfortable in our home are always a priority.

Information Kylie L. would like to know about your pet

Benny is the newest addition to our family and we have loved every minute of him being a part of our lives. We would love to welcome your furry pets to be his pal. This is what prompted us to start our journey on Rover. We are located on the near east side of downtown Indianapolis. You can search the Little Flower neighborhood for a general map location. Before any stay, I prefer to schedule a meet and greet at our home so you can meet me, my two kids (ages 10 and 4), and Benny to make sure everyone feels comfortable and it is a good fit for your dog. Please bring all items your dog will need for their stay, including food, treats, leash, harness, medications, comfort items, and kennel/crate if they are crate trained or sleep in one at home. For the comfort and safety of everyone in our home, dogs must be comfortable around young children, adults, and other dogs, especially puppies. We do best with friendly, social dogs that are not highly dominant or aggressive. Dogs with a history of biting or severe separation anxiety will not be the best fit for our home environment. We prefer dogs who are generally potty trained. If they are not, we can work with them in our home to maintain a consistent schedule for training. Crate trained dogs are strongly preferred for overnight stays or short periods away from home to help reduce accidents and create consistency. Potty pad trained dogs can absolutely be accommodated as well. Because our Benny is still young and playful, we prefer dogs that enjoy companionship, interaction, and being part of a family environment rather than dogs who prefer complete isolation or a kennel-only setting. Dogs should also be reasonably comfortable being left for short periods if needed. We enjoy taking walks, going on outings, coffee shop trips, neighborhood drives, and occasional road trips with Benny, so dogs that are comfortable with car rides are a great fit, especially for longer stays. Owners should disclose any indoor marking behaviors, escape artist tendencies, anxieties, triggers, medical needs, or behavioral concerns ahead of time so we can create the safest and most comfortable environment possible. Owners should also provide feeding instructions, medications if applicable, vet and emergency contact information. We strongly prefer dogs that are current on flea and tick prevention. We can host up to two dogs at a time, but ONLY if they are both from the same family. Of there are other circumstances on this, please ask. We can host cats on a case by case basis if needed for accompanying your dog. If you are not local to Indianapolis and are traveling there for a short term stay with your pet and would like someone in the area to host them while you attend an event or special occasion in the area, we would love to welcome your pet for the day or overnight as well. We are located on the near east side of Indianapolis with easy highway access to I-65, I-70, and I-465, making drop off and pickup easy for both locals and travelers. Great if you need reliable care during Indianapolis events, vacations, business trips, concerts, conventions, tournaments, or airport travel. Our location is convenient for guests coming to and from downtown Indianapolis, Carmel, Noblesville, Fishers, Westfield, and surrounding areas. Nearby Indianapolis destinations include: - Lucas Oil Stadium - approx. 5 miles - Gainbridge Fieldhouse - approx. 5 miles - Indiana Convention Center - approx. 5 miles - Indianapolis Motor Speedway - approx. 6 miles - The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis - approx. 5 miles - Indianapolis Zoo - approx. 6 miles - Old National Centre - approx. 4 miles - Mass Ave - approx. 4 miles - Bottleworks District - approx. 4 miles - Indiana State Fairgrounds - approx. 7 miles - Ruoff Music Center - approx. 28 miles - Grand Park Sports Campus - approx. 32 miles - Indianapolis International Airport - approx. 20 minutes away If you have other questions or needs not covered here, please let me know.

A typical day

A typical day includes outdoor time in our fenced backyard, walks in our neighborhood or at the park, playtime with Benny, potty breaks, cuddles, naps, and relaxing alongside our family throughout the day. Because I work for myself and am home often, dogs are part of our normal daily rhythm rather than left alone for long periods. We keep a calm but engaging environment with lots of attention, supervision, and affection. We love walks, outdoor playtime, neighborhood strolls, park visits, toys, fetch, and supervised play with Benny. Dogs are included in family life here, so there is plenty of interaction, attention, and companionship throughout the day. For dogs who prefer a slower pace, we also create a calm environment with lounging, cuddles, and quiet time depending on their personality and comfort level.

Pet care experience

Dogs have always been part of my life, but raising our mini Goldendoodle, Benny, since he was 9 weeks old has given me hands on experience with puppy training, crate training, potty training, bell training, socialization, routines, and helping dogs feel secure in a home environment. I especially enjoy working with puppies and younger dogs who benefit from consistency, structure, play, and interaction throughout the day. We also love slower paced and older dogs, though I always want to be upfront that Benny is still young and playful. I value communication, hospitality, and making sure your dog feels safe, loved, and cared for while you are away. My goal is for your dog to feel like they are staying with extended family, not just being watched.
