Safety, trust & environment

I live in a peaceful, cosy, and tidy 2-bedroom apartment. Even though we no longer have our own pets, I have a cat tower that doubles as a scratching post, as well as bigger windows that pets love looking out of. There are lots of cozy nooks for your pet to feel comfy in our home. We love cleanliness and only board one pet at a time (or two only if both pets are bonded) so we can clean / wipe / vacuum the apartment before the next pet arrives. Our neighborhood is also very conducive for dog-walking. Feel free to bring your pet's favorite bed or toys or scratcher (if applicable), we want them to feel comfy, and happy! Do note that if we notice that certain parts of your pet's toys might pose a danger to your pet due to wear and tear, we will inform you and remove the toy for the safety of your pet. Even though we maintain a clean, organized environment, please also understand that sometimes, small toys may get lost and found again days later. All boarding pets need to be on a monthly or daily flea/tick preventative and should annually be checked for parasites through a fecal exam/smear.

Information Kyle O. would like to know about your pet

Please always fill up your pet's bio as much as you can before making a booking. =VACCINES= - Is your pet up-to-date on core vaccinations? - Are they on any flea/tick preventative? =ROUTINE= - What time does your pet typically eat, nap, play, and go on walks (if applicable)? We like to maintain their schedule as best as possible - If walking, how long can they walk for and what are their most familiar routes? =PERSONALITY= - Is your pet timid, friendly, overly-excited, affectionate etc? - How does your pet typically behave at home or in someone's home? Do they hide in closets / bathrooms / drawers? Prior knowledge will help us distinguish between what is usual of your pet and what is abnormal. =BEHAVIORAL TRIGGERS= - Does your pet dislike being touched in certain areas? For eg. many cats dislike having their bellies or paws touched, but are there any other areas to be mindful of that is specific to your pet? - Does your pet exhibit aggression when eating, meeting another dog, or person during walks? - When left alone, does your pet bark/yowl, pee on furniture, open doors / drawers / cupboards, jump up the kitchen counter, knock or chew furniture and cables, dig in the trash? - Are there ways to avoid any behavioral triggers that we should note?

A typical day

I aim to understand your pet's needs and routine down to the detail. I always prefer maintaining the same feeding / playing / walking schedule that your pet is familiar with so they feel as comfortable as possible. This is why I only board one pet (or two only if both pets are bonded) at a time to provide exclusive care and attention as well as to maintain a clean and safe environment for your pet(s).

Pet care experience

=ABOUT ME= Hi there! I'm Kyle and I love both cats and dogs! Growing up, I helped raise a pitbull puppy and grew up with cats in the house. My wife grew up with a strong and energetic bull terrier as well as two adorable shih tzus. Since then, we have both dog-sat and cat-sat for friends and neighbors. I've cared for many different types of dogs, big and small. Together with my wife, we also had 2 cats of our own, one of which we found as a stray one winter's night, and another we adopted as a playful kitten who needed extra love and care because he was born with FeLV. = PET CARE= Now that I no longer have pets, instinctually, I'd love to care for your pet and give them all the love in the world! It's a soft-spoken, gentle, and peaceful household and I look forward to loving your pets, understanding them, and helping them thrive! While I do all the dog-walking and drop-in visits, my wife occasionally takes walks around the neighborhood with me, she works full-time from home most days of the week and so is naturally a part of all the caring and snuggling of your fur babies whenever they board with us.

Kyle is the best. Our dog loves going to their house when we are out of town, and we can relax on our trip knowing how well he’s being taken care of. We love the daily updates and photos. Thank you so much for looking after him with such care. 🙏🏻💕

Kyle was invaluable by looking after our reptiles on short notice that we were able to have peace of mind while abroad without having to board then. We definitely would recommend them and look forward to working with them again in the future.

My cat just had another wonderful stay with Kyle and Audrey. They are incredibly kind, thoughtful and responsible, all while giving me frequent updates including the most adorable pictures and videos of my cat. I will definitely book them again in the future, I feel comfortable traveling while knowing my cat is in the best hands of true cat lovers :)
